𝑪𝒉𝒂𝒑𝒕𝒆𝒓 𝟏"𝑾𝒂𝒌𝒆 𝒖𝒑!" I jumped awake at the sound of my mother's voice yelling at me. I looked over at her to see her laughing at me. "Not funny ma, not funny." I said sitting up. I rubbed my neck as I yawned, I'm guessing it hurt from the position I was sleeping in. "We're here Sylvie. Get your shit from the back, the moving van will be here any second." As I got out of the car I looked at the house we were parked at. It was a mid sized, 2 story house (Attic included so maybe 3 story?) somewhat bigger than our old one.
As I looked at the other houses on the block, I noticed ours was probably the nicest outta them all. "Go call a bedroom Sylvie, there's 3 bedrooms and an attic." Mama said handing me my bags of clothes/blankets. I thought about it for a second, 'Attic?' I always wanted a attic bedroom. "Can I have the attic for my room?" I walked up the steps with my bags in my hands. "Yeah sure whatever." I smiled and ran upstairs. There was a door that I guessed went into the attic since it was by the stairs. I opened the door to see yet another set of stairs. Once I was up in the attic I looked around. It was pretty nice, spacious. I was walking around my new room, looking at the ceiling and walls, then the window. I noticed the moving trucks had just arrived. Mama told me they would bring everything into the house.

As I put the last pillow on my new bed, I looked around my room. Everything had now been set up, my dresser, vanity, bed, night stands, hanging lights, plants, rugs, posters, and about everything else. I had organized my makeup in my vanity when I first got ahold of it. Mama sometimes asks how I'm so organized. I sat on my new bed and layed down. It was close to 11pm and I had stayed up a while doing my room. Tomorrow I will go into town and look around.

I groaned and opened my eyes, rubbing them. Still rubbing my eyes I sat up, my blanket falling off my legs. I looked at my clock seeing it was 10am.

Sylvia had gotten up and gone to the bathroom, cringing at the squeaks from the floor boards. She figured her mom wasn't awake yet seeing as she probably went out last night, not bothering to unpack anything other than a few blankets to sleep with. Today Sylvia was gonna go out into town and look around, get used to the new. As she finished washing her hands she picked up her toothbrush and brushed her teeth. When she was done she hopped in the shower, feeling the warmness of the water fall onto her back. She release a breath she didn't know she was holding as she reached for her shampoo, putting some in her hand and washing her hair. She always like the sent of pomegranate. It calmed her. Almost everything she had that was scented smelled like pomegranate. Soaps, candles, and perfumes. She never knew why she liked the scent so much other than it relieved her.
As she stepped out of the shower she grabbed her towel and dried off. Grabbing the hair dryer she turned it on, blow drying her hair she hummed a song.
With one last spritz of perfume she was ready to head into town. She walked out the front door, down to the driveway and onto the sidewalk. As she strolled down she realized she would probably be starting school tomorrow since today was Monday and her mom enrolled her a week ago.

As I walked into town I looked at all the people. There were kids on bikes, people walking in the street. People everywhere. I was not a social butterfly so I felt pretty nervous walking in a town I didn't know. After walking for a couple minutes I found myself walking up to a bridge with initials. '𝘙+𝘌' '𝘒+𝘓' and other initials with hearts around them. I pushes my glasses up my nose a little and turned around as I heard a car behind me. There were 4 boys who looked around my age. One with a mullet, one with a hat, a blonde one, and one with dark brown hair who was looking at me. I made eye contact with him as the car came to a stop. They looked kinda mean so I started to get a little nervous as they started to open the doors and come out.
"Well, what do we have here?" The mullet one said as they all walked towards me. "Are you new? We've never seen you around before." "Yes I am new. I just moved here yesterday," I said turning to face them with my hand on my arm. "What's your name baby?" The tall lanky one said. "My name is Sylvia Francis." He walked up behind me and put his hands on my waist, I cringed. "What are you doing?" I asked turning towards him trying to pull away. As I tried to push him away, he let me go making me fall backwards into the mullet haired one. He kicked my ankle causing me to fall on my butt. "What's your problem?" I asked turning towards them standing up. "What'd you say bitch?" Mullet said grabbing my arm. I pulled away and tried to walk away but the Blondie came and pushed me back into the tall lanky one. "We just wanna talk princess." He said putting his head in the crook of my neck as he bit down, causing me to let out a whimper. I kicked him from behind and jumped over the fence running into the woods. As I was running I heard them catching up to me. I ran until I saw some other kids at the edge of a cliff. "Can you guys help me? These four boys are chasing me." I asked. The one with with big glasses asked, "Did one of them have a mullet?" I nodded and they all ran into the woods (opposite of the way I came) A red haired girl grabbed my wrist and dragged me with her. We ran till we came across a neighborhood.
