haha imagine brainrotting over your own ocs and series haha so dumb hahaha couldnt be me haha anyways heres me talking about all of the thoughts ive had in my brain regarding mgr

so

"shadow triggers" are a thing

basically theyre just points in which the shadow finally becomes powerful enough to physically manifest in our world

for rourou, its when hes starting out as a magical girl (🤩) and does a very pretty sparkly attack against a monster and as an artist is positively foaming at the mouth

his arrival is put in the newspaper and hes initially excited about seeing it until his father goes "why make things all fancy that is so useless that magical girl is useless smh"

rourou gets called useless by his dad a lot btw and knowing that no matter who he is, hes always useless to him, its just a real breaking point

for kaito, its when ryu and rikuto accidentally find a hiding spot of his while trying to get revenge on him for bullying ryu

he has a little "safe haven" in a storage closet at school and keeps a teddy bear in there to hug when hes upset

some other dudes noticed ryu and rikuto doing a horrible job at stalking kaito, got worried and decided to follow as well, then they found the closet and started spreading the news about it. then the bastards steal the bear and rip it apart in front of kaito, and he has to remain completely stoic and unemotive during the whole thing bc he cant seem weak :')

inside he is breaking down though

for haruka, its during summer break where the whole gang constantly is talking about their fun plans and meeting at the cafe every day to do so

i havent mentioned this either but i changed harukas whole deal and hes more teen idle - marina than poplar st - glass animals uh

his whole youth was basically thrown away and he completely regrets it. now he overcompensates for it by lying to the teenagers about how cool he is so he can pretend he lived the life he really wanted.

so while the teenagers are talking about how they will be ACTUALLY doing cool stuff he gets really sad and jealous about it

haruka shares a (fake, obviously) story about going to the amusement park, basically sharing one of his biggest fantasies with them and they all are like "woahhh thats so cool we should do that"

then they actually do it, they talk to haruka after and tell him about it, and BAM haruka starts crying because thats something HES always wanted to do and they can do it because theyre young and free and happy and he lost his chance

for rikuto, its when he fails a test. not necessarily an important one, but he failed a test and thats all that mattered to him.

he was putting so much pressure on himself to do good on a bunch of other assignments that he entirely forgot to study for the test and keeps going "noooooo its ok ill pass because im the best"

evidently he does not pass and he literally flips the FUCK out

for nao, its because of rikutos development. hehe

rikuto accepts that he cant be perfect and that its ok to make mistakes, and all of his friends entirely accept that too. even though rikuto wasnt exceptional, people still loved him.

as shown in the nao mirror crisis remake chapter, that is exactly what nao struggles with. nobody loves him, and he tries so hard to stand out so someone will, and seeing someone be so imperfectly perfect is so frustrating for him because hes been trying to have that HIS WHOLE LIFE and rikuto just. gets it for free

and not to get off track but this is how inofuji happens, after naos boss fight (where he is badly injured) rikuto has him rest at his house where nao tells him how jealous he is of him

rikuto tells him that theres no reason to be jealous because he basically went through the same thing, but he just got better. he promises to nao that he'll help him get better by being his first ever friend.

and then they kiss /j god i wish

THEYRE MY CHARACTERS WHY AM I COMPLAINING ABOUT THEM NOT KISSING SMH

and for ryu (this is why i made this chapter in the first place), its because he actually goes out in public crossdressing

this is also after hinata gets HER development and befriends our main group despite not being one of the magical girls (🤩)

theyre all at her house just hanging out and then hinata goes up to her room, and while shes gone they all plan to go to like a restaurant or smth idk ? so ryu goes to find her to ask if she wants to come with and shes like "hell yeah lets go"

she starts getting ready and ryu watches her put on a skirt, a cardigan, stockings, etc and hes like "ayo ur clothes are cute can i try some on"

hinatas ok with it and she dresses him up

he goes out in public dressed very femininely and when theyre all at the place they wanted to go a waiter calls ryu a lady so he corrects him saying hes a guy

then the waiter gives him a weird look and ryus like "wait..... why tf do i look like this if im a guy......... i should be NORMAAAAAAAAAAL"

and yea

ok that was all

im still thinking about how to put all of these events in order, ik rourou is first and nao obv comes after rikuto but i know nothing else after that
