UNLESS [Onceler X Reader]

You wake up the next morning with the sun shining on your head. The warmth gracing your face

You open your eyes slowly and you find Onceler not lying next to you. The side of his bed empty

You sit up and look around and he's nowhere to be seen

Some of the animals were inside at that time. A few fish swimming around in his sink. A couple of bears napping on the floor. And one bird in a bowl

You smile as you wipe your eyes

Y/N: Morning guys...

...

Y/N: I slept pretty well, thanks

...

Y/N: Yeah, um, you guys seen Onceler?

...

Y/N: Oh, he left already? I'm guessing to sell that dumb Thneed of his?

...

Y/N: Oh please! Have you seen the look of it? It looks as if I hung a blanket up and used it as target practice

...

Y/N: Okay fine, it doesn't look that bad. But it's still garbage in my opinion

You stood up sluggishly from the bed, when suddenly an unfamiliar scent went up your nose

A sweet scent

A soft scent

You got up and walked towards the scent that was in the tent, and when you turn to the kitchen, on the table was what looked to be...

Food, with a folded note next to it

You turn to one of the animals

Y/N: Um, what's this?

...

Y/N: For me?

...

Y/N: Okay then

You turn back to the plate and grasp the folded note in your hand

You open it and the note read:

"Hey, sorry for leaving without a heads up. I just wanted to rush to town since people seem to come the most at this time. But to make up, I made my mouth-watering, home-made pancakes! Enjoy!"

A smile curved on your face as you chuckle at his letter

Y/N: He calls himself THE Onceler? Weird

You look to the pancakes, they smelled so good and so sweet. Some of its heat still in it making it warm to the touch

It was really thoughtful of him. It put a tiny smile to your face

You pick up the plate of pancakes and turn to the animals. You grin excitedly at them

Y/N: Alright guy, who wants pancakes?

The animals shoot their heads up, their eyes brightening

...

Y/N: Yeah! What? You thought I wasn't gonna share with you guys?

...

Y/N: Of course! We're gonna eat this together!

The animals cheered as they followed at your feet

You stepped towards the front door, and then suddenly stop

You turn around to the bird in the bowl

Y/N: Oh, and, Onceler doesn't want you in that bowl
