5. The facility

I was holding the red hand as we walked from memory to memory. What did the red hand wanted from me ?

"Just keep remembering." It said.

I woke with a headache. I felt my soft bed under me. Was I back home? No, the problem is that I didn't hear any noises at all.

Back home there was always my dad was fixing something around the house, my mother blasting music from the living room or my brother yelling at his Xbox.

I heard nothing. So, slowly I opened my eyes and indeed I wasn't home. I felt empty. When will the doctors leave us alone? When will i see my family?

I was laying on top of a bunk bed. I didn't know where we were or what time it was. I carefully went down the few steps of the bed and checked if the door was looked. It was. Shit.

I looked down at me. I was wearing a white tunic with white flowy pants. This isn't what I wore at school...

I touched my hair. It was cut short. What the fuck, I thought.

The room had metal walls and white tiles on the floor which made me thought that we were in a hospital. The room was rather small but still fitted comfortably 3 bunkbeds and a simple bed. All the girls were still asleep.

I looked if anybody was missing. Juliette, Alena, Lou, Nini, Noemie and unfortunatly Axelle. We were all there.

"Lou wake up." I shook her awake.

"What's wrong ?" She moaned rubbing her eyes.

"Wake up !" I said a second time. The fuss made the other girls wake up too.

She sat up and once all the information got to her brain she stood up. She was wearing the same outfit and her hair was shorter too. What is this psycho shit ?

"Where are we ?" Asked Alena.

"I don't know." Answered Louise.

"Why are we wearing the same awful outfit ?" Asked Juliette.

"Our hair !" panicked Alena.

"They uncolored my hair !" screamed Noemie as she was looking at her then black hair. "Those weird fucks."

"Girls please focus !" shouted Louise. We stared at her in confusion, unsure what to do with her outburst.

"Hey Lou, it is going to be okay. We are going to figure this out together. Like you said we are going to stick together." I comforted her.

She nodded.

"Alright." I said. It's time to sort things out. "Did everyone passed the weird simulation test ?" I asked around.

Everybody nods.

"I am a shapeshifter." said Alena.

"I can read auras." said Noemie.

"What is that ?" asked Lou.

"Well I can tell who you are and your intentions. Like I know what powers you have for example." She answered.

"Show it to us." I said encouraging.

"Very well. You..." She pointed to Louise. "You can turn your skin into diamonds." Louise nodded. Is it why her fingers were sparkly in class ?

"You can charm speak." She said to Juliette. "Nini can conjure light and Axelle can talk to animals."

Everybody was quiet. That meant that she was right every time.

"And you Marie, you have... fire powers." She said hesitantly. Why did she hesitate ? She was so sure before.

She looked at me confused.
