"Do you know you are talking to the founder, president, editor-in-chief, queen of fashion? You ridiculous, incompetent moron. I want a dozen pair of those peony pink pumps here tomorrow, size 11 and don't give me any more of your lame excuses that you don't have my size! Mother of Pink! And what are you supposed to be?" Burdine asks as she is in her officer with Alexis as a girl walks in.
"I am Jade. Your new student intern. I just want to tell you I am so psyched to be working here with you and Your Thing. I've got a ton of ideas for the magazine." The girl says happily.
"Oh really? Do share." Burdine says as Alexis looks at the girl curiously.
"I was thinking that maybe we could do a column on Street trends. See what's taking off at clubs. Do a quiz fest?" Jade asks.
"Those sound like pretty good ideas." Alexis says before seeing Burdine giving her an angry look.
"Stop. Just so we understand each other I come up with the ideas. Your Thing is my magazine, you work for me and your title is nothing." Burdine says.
"I'm sorry I didn't mean to-" Jade then gets cut off by Burdine.
"Ah my other interns. Two lovely girls. Mmm pink. My favorite color. Here's your first assignment. And this is what I want you girls to do. Now get busy. Royale and I have some shoe shopping to do. Don't we my little bitty baby boy? Oh mommy loves her little baby so much." Burdine says as Kaycee and Kristee walk into the room before Alexis gives an annoyed look before Burdine leaves with her dog.
"Word of advice. Try to stay on her good side and don't get into trouble. She'll eh... be more open to you." Alexis says as she goes up to Jade.
"Thanks. Who are you?" Jade asks.
"Alexis. I'm an intern here. Started a year ago. She's still warming up to me though." Alexis says as she smiles slightly.
"I can see. Thanks for the advice." Jade says as she smiles.
"Not a problem. Good luck." Alexis says as she leaves.
*Timeskip*
"Oh come on. Budge already! Ah!" Alexis says in alarm as she is trying to open a cabinet only for someone to knock into her.
"Oh sorry Alexis." A voice says revealing to be Jade.
"It's okay. You did help me get the cabinet open. What's the rush?" Alexis asks as she sees the cabinet is open.
"I've just been fired. I gotta go." Jade says as she runs off before Alexis sees a folder and some papers on the floor.
"Jade wait! You forgot your folder!" Alexis shouts before picking up the papers and looking at them curiously.
*Timeskip*
"One cookie crumble creme smoothie please." Alexis says as she is at a smoothie bar before noticing Jade with some other girls talking and goes over as they're talking about making their own magazine.
"Wait! Reality check. What about an office? No way we can afford one. I'll have to babysit every night! Even on weekends!" A blonde girl says.
"If I may I might be able to help." Alexis says as the girls notice her.
"Alexis?" Jade asks.
"You know this girl?" A brown haired girl asks.
"She works at Young Thing." Jade says.
"Correction. Used to work there." Alexis says.
"Wait. So you got fired too?" A dark skinned girl asks.
"Actually no. I quit. I heard about what happened Jade. I'm so sorry. I worked for her a year and still hadn't got any better than when I started. I think your ideas are amazing. I'd love to see them flourish. You also dropped your folder on the way out." Alexis says as she hands Jade her folder.
"I been looking everywhere for this! Thanks Alexis." Jade says happily.
"Not a problem. But if it's okay I think I can help on the office part." Alexis says as she smiles.
