The rise of the sun marked a new day—a day that would offer two young people new advantages away from the mess in their hometown. The clocks showed seven thirty but the only living creatures bothering to wake up were the birds who were singing their morning songs per usual, attempting to inadvertently wake up the residents of Amherst Street. However, four individuals were in no need of birdsongs to get their day started. Each and every one of them had a brutal alarm go off exactly at six thirty—all but one having to drive soon afterward as well.

With three cars parked in front of Magdalena's house, Eddie and Steve were lugging the brunette's suitcases outside with the promise of receiving fifteen bucks after the hard work was done. Well, only Steve insisted on the money. He needed a reason to do labor willingly, especially for someone like Magdalena May. And while the boys were occupied with loading up the truck belonging to Magdalena's father, Lulu's squeal of joy pierced the atmosphere. It was a sound so high in frequency that it could almost rival a dog whistle. Magdalena winced at the tone as she watched her best friend practically stick to the back window, looking in and on the verge of crying at the sight inside.

"Stop it, Magdalena! You're gonna make me cry! Why'd you have to put Sunny the Bunny in a sweater? You're evil for making me witness this. It's the cutest thing!"

Lulu screeched as she jumped up and down slightly, never tearing her gaze away from the backseat where Sunny the Bunny was calmly resting in a blue knitted sweater made just for a small animal. It was certainly fortunate that there was glass separating Lulu from Sunny because the little creature didn't have to endure the intense noises of enthusiasm coming from the raven-haired girl's mouth at the same volume that everyone else had to.

Even with her eardrums slowly losing the ability to hear, Magdalena still kept smiling at how wholesome Lulu truly was. The same chick who fought in the Upside Down alongside everyone else was now fawning over a bunny covered up by light blue material. Magdalena picked up the familiar sound of huffing and puffing coming from her front door, swiftly approaching her. Her pretty eyes caught sight of Steve struggling with her heaviest suitcase. The guy was really working for those fifteen dollars. Magdalena had to admit that he never once slacked off.

"Thought I was the cutest thing. What happened to that? How did I just get replaced by a rabbit?"

Steve breathed out a complaint while walking past the two girls standing near the truck and headed right for the trunk to finally put down the suitcase which was causing his arms to burn immensely. After he did, in typical Steve fashion, the guy adjusted his hair and stared expectantly at Magdalena and Lulu—he wanted his cash and he craved an explanation from Lulu about not being labeled cute anymore. It was truly a Greek tragedy.
