"No, of course not!" Ness shouted, nervousness is visible on his face.

".....I trust that what you said just now is the truth, Ness. You can go now." Kaiser's eyes narrowed.

"...I'll be going to the training room if you need me." Ness walk out the room.

"......." He lied against the wall before sitting down.

He feel like a mess. Why did Kaiser ask him that? Have he gotten too close to you? But he just want to get to know you...

Hey.... He didn't even bother wanting to know anything about you other than your techniques and weaknesses in the first place, so why....

He hated you. He despised you ever since he saw how Kaiser treated you. He have been with Kaiser for as long as he could remember and even he hasn't seen him acting like this towards him. Not even once. It's not fair at all.

Was it because of the compliment you gave yesterday? That one lame compliment? It sounded genuine. You don't expect anything from him when saying it. Is that why? Even he thinks it's stupid.

"I mustn't.... I mustn't betray Kaiser..." He reach his hand out to the ceiling.

"....." Ness grip his hair as he started to grit his teeth.

He just hope it isn't love.

"Are you okay? Looks like you're having a mental breakdown or some shit." You appeared in his view, crouching down with your neutral expression on your face.

"!" He lift his head slightly with widen eyes.

He won't betray Kaiser. Not even until he dies.

'Ah......' His eyes softened.

'I'm hopeless...' He chuckled.

'What the hell is this guy doing? Have he finally gone nuts in this big ass prison?' You sweat dropped.

'Eh, understandable.' You shrugged.

"So you do like her after all." Kaiser calmly said.

"You're not.... mad?" Ness questioned, expecting a scolding from him.

"You already like her, there's no use to be mad at you when you can't let go of your feelings." He grumbled out while Ness lower his head in guilt.

"Only one will be chosen. And I'm not saying it's one of us." Kaiser throw the book on his bed before walking towards the door.

"Huh...?" Ness tilted his head in confusion.

"Don't tell me you think there's only me and you. Other than Y/N, the rest of the players here are guys, some will no doubt like her when she's the only female they see almost everyday." His eyes narrowed.

"Right...."
