Chapter-9 Date

Nat's POV
After breakfast, I went to talk to Steve "Hey Rogers!" I called out to him and he turned around to look at me "So you and Freya huh?" I asked and he just smiled at the floor like an idiot, I always knew he liked her but wow!

"I say you should take her out on a date," I told him "A date?" he asked a little confused "Yeah, take her to lunch, talk....get to know each other without arguing for once" I told him "Noted" he said still smiling

"Good, it's nice to see you happy again and be careful Steve, don't break her heart" I warned him, he nodded and I left.

Steve's POV
After talking to Nat, I went to Freya's room "Hey, can I ask you something?" I asked her "Sure, what is it?" she asked me "Would you like to you know...." I started blabbering "Go somewhere to eat and I don't know talk and...." I stop before embarrassing myself more.

She laughed "Are you asking me out on a date?" "That's exactly what I'm doing," I said without a second thought and she laughed again "I would like that Cap" she replied and closed the door

20 minutes later she got dressed and I just looked at her, lost for words
Freya's outfit:

"Why are you looking at me like that? Do I look bad?" she asked looking at herself and I snapped out of the trance "No! Not at all. You look beautiful" She smiled softly and my heart jumped

In the car:
"I am still waiting for an apology Cap," she said to me "An apology?" I asked confused "For picking fights with me for no good reason and for being a drama queen" She smirked "A drama queen, really?" I asked her

"What would you call it?" She looked at me "Alright, I apologise for being a jerk." "I wouldn't say jerk...I would say.." "Whatever you're thinking, don't say it" I cut her off  "Relax Cap, I was just going to say overprotective. It's nothing new for me but still"

"What do you mean nothing new?" I asked as it piqued my curiosity "I have 2 elder brothers, Loki is pretty chill most of the time but if Thor finds out a guy asked me out, they probably won't be sane the next day"

"So do I have anything to be worried about?" I asked cheekily "You got Loki's approval, he practically told you to ask me out. I am just waiting for Thor's reaction to this," she said pointing at the both of us and I smiled

At the restaurant:
We got to our table, sat down and ordered our food "Well, this is nice" I said and she smiled "Yes, it is" We spent the entire date talking. Once we were done, we paid the check. She was about to get up when I blurted out "Freya, I still don't trust Loki"

She looked at me sadly and sighed "He's my brother, I believe in him. So please just trust me" "If he hurts you, I will kill him with no hesitation" I said sternly and she smiled "I wouldn't have it any other way" I got up, pulled her closer to me and kissed her gently.

Freya's POV
After our date, we went back to the compound where all the Avengers were in the living room "Freya, where were you? I was worried sick" Thor approached me as soon as we entered

"I told him not to worry but you know him" Loki told me "I'm fine brother. Steve and I just went out" I told him and he raised his eyebrow "Went out? As in a date" he asked me "You could say that" I replied "So are you guys dating?" Pietro asked obviously a little bit jealous

"I wouldn't say dating" Steve responded and I nodded "So Freya is not your girlfriend" Sam asked "We went on one date, chill out" I replied annoyed "Well you also slept together" Tony announced

"You did what?!" Thor asked furiously "I knew it!" Loki exclaimed "The Captain has feelings for my sister" he declared "Would you shut up!" I shouted and the room shook

"Freya, we talked about this, control your voice" Loki told me and everyone stared at me, I sighed "Yes, we slept together" I said looking at Thor "And yes we went on a date and yes! We are dating!" I said angrily and Steve mouthed to me "Wow".

Thor walked up to him "If you hurt my sister Captain, I will rip you apart" Thor said threatening Steve "I will try my best not to hurt her" Steve said stepping back. I started to leave the room when Nat whispered to me

"How was the date?" "Amazing" I whispered back to her. I looked at Steve and he smiled at me, I smiled back.
