Chapter-28 Procedure part-1

Steve caught her and carried her bridal style to the lab "We got her" Thor said to Bruce and Tony. Steve placed her on the bed. He tied her hands and legs to the bed.

Just then, her eyes fluttered open "Where the hell am I?" she asked "None of your concern 'cause you won't be here anymore" Tony said and Bruce injected her with a little of the seductive agent. She immediately fell unconscious.

"You guys can go now" Bruce said to Thor and Steve "I'm not going anywhere" Steve said to him "Cap, we understand but we need room to operate. You can see from outside" "But-" "Cap, they can take care of her" Thor cut him off, Steve sighed

"Fine but if I see anything going wrong, I'm shutting it down" he said "Don't worry about that Cap, I'll be shutting it down before you can blink an eye" Thor said and they both left and stood outside "She'll be okay Steve" Nat assured him and he felt a bit better

"Let's start" Tony said, Bruce plugged her to the monitors and Tony got the electro waves loaded with the nano particles and placed the headset on Freya

"Ready for execution Bruce" "Alright, on my count, 3-2-1 go" Tony sent the electro waves into her head, her body immediately started shaking. "What's going on? Why is her body shaking?" Steve started panicking.

"Steve, calm...they are sending electro waves through her body, that's the expected response" Nat told him "Are you sure?" he asked and she nodded

"How are her vitals?" Tony asked Bruce "They're stable" Bruce replied "Brain scans?" Bruce showed him the brain scans, the two hemispheres of her brain were coming together but still needed more nano particles

"I'm sending in another wave" Tony said to him and Bruce looked concerned "Tony, her brain is already very weak. If we send another wave there's a chance her brain...could die" "If we don't, her brain won't be back together completely" Tony argued and Bruce sighed

"Then we'll continue tomorrow but we can't today. It's too risky" "What will we do with her till tomorrow? She's still a danger to us" "We can use the seductive agent on her till tomorrow but we need to keep an eye on her. She could wake up at any moment" Tony nodded

They both left the lab and met Steve, Nat, Loki and Thor "Is it done? Is she our Freya again?" Steve asked as soon as he saw them "No, it's not done" Tony replied

"Then why are you here? Go finish it" Thor said "Brother wait, there has to be an explanation" Loki said to him and turned his attention to Tony and Bruce "Why did you stop?" he asked calmly.

"If we continue the procedure, there is a high chance her brain will die as it's already weak. We'll continue tomorrow but we have to be careful, she might wake up and it might not be our Freya" Bruce said and they all nodded and discussed a schedule so that someone could always look after her
