Chapter One
Han Jisung
Group projects.
Just the thought of them makes Jisung groan.
Initially, he thought that since escaping the clutches of teenage angst and his high school years that he would finally escape those grueling group projects.
Inevitably, he'd be proven wrong.
Regardless, Jisung loathes them with every fiber of his being. It isn't just the idea of having to collaborate with other people (which trust him, that in itself is the tallest hurdle for someone with crippling social anxiety) but it's also everything else that comes with it.
The long, drawn out meetings where everyone just talks in circles and Jisung either zones out mid-conversation or his anxiety is working its 'magic' trying to formulate what he says next (which comes out in a series of broken, stuttered-out sentences).
He hates the constant bickering and finger-pointing when things don't go as planned.
And the dreaded task of trying to divide up the work evenly so that everyone contributed their fair share, just for one person to not do anything and leave someone else to scramble and finish the project. Jisung is, undoubtedly, not a fan.
Jisung has been through his fair share of group projects in his time at school, and not one had gone according to plan. Jisung had usually been stuck putting in most of the work, while the rest of the (generally inexperienced) group just coasted by, leaving him to clean up the messes.
And to this day, he doesn't understand why group projects even exist. To him, they're nothing more than a waste of time and, in his experience, have never produced anything worthwhile, and—
"Seo Changbin... and Choi Yeonjun, great," Jisung grumbles as he squints impossibly hard at the small font on the handout messily passed across the room. "Don't know who they are."
It is the same old story. Jisung has been assigned (yet again!) to another group project in this same Advanced Music Production class he got placed into with a shit-ton of classmates being his seniors.
