Chapter Six
Lee Minho
Minho thinks that his heart is delusional.
As pencil meets paper, Minho scolds himself for illustrating a romance between himself and Han Jisung (solely because Jisung is straight)—a romance his heart refuses to let go.
Like a castaway clinging to debris in the deep, blue, sea, Minho clings to a delusional fantasy that one day, he could have the straight guy of his dreams.
The devastating caveat to all this, is that Minho could have anyone he wanted. If there's one thing he's known for on campus, it's for being practically everyone's crush.
(Alongside that is his uncontested, triple pirouette, but you get the point.)
He's heard from the—very reliable—Seoul University of the Arts 'grapevine' of multiple instances where people have wanted to ask him out. Why? Because Lee Minho is among the prettiest guys on campus, and everyone wants a piece, of course.
Everyone but the guys that Minho sets his eyes on.
Everyone but Jisung. And he knows this.
Still, as he berates his heart for crushing foolishly on yet another straight guy, and as he scolds his mind for holding onto the Jisung-centric delusion, neither listen. Almost as if Minho's logic, mind, and heart work as separate entities, he continues to crush pathetically on a guy whose dating pool he'll never reside in.
Minho can't even swim, to begin with.
Anyway. Back to the present.
Minho's been drawing Jisung for the past thirty minutes, and it is singlehandedly the hardest piece of artwork he has ever done.
Partially because Jisung is awkwardly fidgeting despite Minho instructing him to stand still multiple times. And partially because watching Jisung model for him has nearly sent him into cardiac arrest the same amount of times, if not more.
