Chapter 25

Rhys's POV

Like I told Belle I'm not one to keep my feelings inside without voicing them out, I like Belle, I have liked her for a while now and after pouring out my heart and pain yesterday, I didn't see a point to keep stalling so I told her today.

Like I feared, she wasn't ready to go into a relationship just yet, but she likes me too, that alone is enough assurance to wait for her.

I meant it when I said I was going to wait for her, yes I will wait for her.
I know she was finding it hard moving on from Amber's father but I was ready to care for her to the best of my ability.

I walked into the house and up to Elaine's room, I entered and saw that Belle was gone, it was just Elaine sitting on the bed.

Today had really drained her, I entered and sat beside her on the bed, Belle's thoughts occupying my mind.

"What happened"? She asked looking at me

"I told her, I told her how I feel about her" I said

"And..."? She drawled out still looking at me

"She said she's not ready to be in a relationship just yet" I explained to her and I could see her shoulders fall "but I told her I'd wait, no matter how long it took her, I'd wait"

"You really like her don't you"? She asked with a smile and I nodded, a smile forming on my face at the thoughts of Belle, her beautiful face coming into view in my head.

She doesn't say anything as we both just sit there, my mind being occupied by Belle, I do like her a lot and I know what she's scared of.

I mean she lost her soon to be husband after just finding out she was carrying his child.

But I'm gonna wait for her, it's a decision I made even before I asked her to be mine, and while waiting it wouldn't change how I treat her or Amber.

I know Mom would be thrilled if she knew I had feelings for Belle and I was going for it.
She'd be very happy about it.

Isabelle's POV

It has been two days since Rhys asked me to be his girlfriend and I kind of turned him down.

I haven't really been myself and I have been thinking about how it'll be like the next time I see him.

He was fully okay now so we no longer have sessions, today is a Tuesday and I intended to go see Elaine, I had already spoke to her last night and she said she'd be home in the afternoon.

I was driving to her place with Amber in the car, I probably won't stay long so I'd have a chance to drop Amber off at Mom's place before returning back to work

"Mommy" Amber's little voice snapped me out of my daze

"Yes honey" I responded looking over to her for a second before focusing back on the road.

"Won't we go visit uncle Rhys, now that aunty Elaine no longer lives there"? She asked making me surprised at her question.

"Baby what makes you say that" I asked her

"Nothing mommy, I just like Uncle Rhys so much, I don't want you to stop talking to him" she says with a pout making me raise my brows at her

"So you like Uncle Rhys more than Mommy huh"? I asked ruffling her hair and she just giggles shaking her head.
