I went to my room, and it seemed big. Well, bigger than my old one, but I couldn't get the thought of his girlfriend who lived here, in this room. It was just scary to think about.
My mom walked in while I still was packing,
"Honey, lunch will be ready in 10 minutes." I nodded and she left my room.
I wondered if the boy goes to my school, I don't know. Maybe he can introduce me to some people. I never found out his name, oh, what a shame. I finished unpacking a box and headed downstairs to eat. I sat at the table and took some chicken, and French fries.
"I'm glad that you've changed." My mom started. "I mean, what you did, it got us worried and scared that something terrible happened to you."
I rolled my eyes. "Would you like me to tell you the story again?"
She nodded. I sighed, "it all started at the end of grade 7 when summer was right around the corner..."
***************
1 year ago:
"Dude, let's go get some drinks." My friend said to me. "I have to go home and study for the big test." I replied.
"Wow, your no fun."
"Well, maybe I don't want a drink at the moment. We can have a big ass party where the whole grade can come and I'll have a drink then, agreed?"
"Fine, agreed."
Last Day Of School:
"Yes, let's go!" My friend said as the school bell rang. My guy friend is pretty awesome, he'll give me some good advice and whatnot. We all headed to his house. His parents were cool with a party, considering it's the last day of school. They left and we brought out the drinks. Truth is, I never had one before. I tell everyone I get drunk on the weekend. Pretty shameful. When my friend, Raphael, brought the drinks out, I froze, wondering what it tasted like, how you felt while drinking alcohol. I heard you get really dizzy.
"EH! First drink to my lady friend right here." He handed me the drink. I couldn't not drink it, I said I would! Ugh, why did I say I would do this...
I took one sip, it tastes, OK. I took another sip except with more, and finally, I took a big gulp, and I felt the burning in my throat, but it was delicious. It made me feel alive. Everyone around me started drinking too, and dancing and screaming.
I started to drink one more bottle, two more, then when I got to the third, I felt sick to my stomach. I quickly ran up the stairs and ran into the washroom. And I puked in the toilet. After, I sat there for a while, then, Raphael walks in. "Margret, are you OK?" Raphael would always be the nice guy in certain situations. "I'm fine, but I thin-" before I could finish he butted in, "I think that you never had alcohol before...but you didn't want to admit it." I nodded shamefully. He raised his eyebrow, "you can tell me anything, you know that." He sat down next to me by the toilet. He looked at his watch, "1AM." I shook my head, "I told my parents I'm staying over at your house in case I get sick or something. Which I did. Can I stay the night?" He smiled, I always loved his smiles, they always made me happy. "Of course." He put his arm around me and pulled me close. "I can't believe we're going into grade 8 next year...it's been a long 8 years." Tears started to fill my eyes, I just couldn't believe that we were going to graduate.
Raphael faced me and I faced him too, "I never knew your eyes were green," I exclaimed. He chuckled.
Then, my lips touched his, it was my first kiss.
NOW:
"Does that explain everything now?" My mom started to cry, "I just can't believe you drank, and had your first kiss!" I felt bad, and I felt guilty. I made my mom so worried. "Keep the story going." She said. I sighed, "OK, during the summer Raphael and I had a relationship, when grade 8 came, he moved, I don't know where, he never told me..."
GRADE 8:
"Where are you going?" Tears filled my eyes, "WHERE?" He still wouldn't budge. It was like, the summer meant nothing to him. I felt guilt, like it was all my fault that his parents are making him move. I was at his house, with the moving truck, "I can't let you leave." He was sitting in the car with his window down, the trunk still open, and the moving truck aswell. "Why don't I come with you? I mean, I have like $100 in my pocket." He looked confused. "Why $100?" "In case I needed to bribe you." I smiled. He had a sad look on his face. "I'm gonna miss you." He said. I started to tear up. "No." I paused. I looked at the trunk, I had an idea. "I'm coming with you." I went to the back of the car and I jumped in the trunk. There were no luggage of any sort so I was fine. Raphael turned to me in the back, "OK, but if the police start asking questions, I'm saying I had nothing to do with this." I giggled. "Where are we going?" He stopped smiling. "Um, well, like, I need my passport..." My eyes widened. "Your crossing the border, aren't you." He nodded, "but, only for a bit, then I'm coming back and moving to Glemwood, it's nearby here." My smile weakend. "OK, I guess I'll see you..." I got out of the trunk and ran off. I never looked back.
