I am Chioma Adeoye , a Nigerian American girl, and today is my first day at Sherman Oaks . I had just moved to California from Texas, and today was the last day of summer . I was overcome with anxiety as I put all my supplies in my backpack for tomorrow morning . Don't get me wrong, I was excited, but I was also starting this year with no friends. I always had a hard time socializing . Either way, I tried to put all my worries behind as my mom called me down for dinner . After eating , I did my night routine and went to bed .

This is it .Today is the first day of senior year, and to make matters worse, it's going to be in a completely different school , state , and environment . This was not how I planned my senior year to go, but due to my parents' jobs, there was no choice . Thankfully , this didn't mess with my credits as much as I thought it would, and I was still an honors student who had a chance to be accepted into multiple Ivy colleges . Sherman Oaks also had a lot of good programs, which I personally thought was the only good thing about this school . After grabbing my bag and eating breakfast, I made my way to school . As soon as I walked in , I was hit with a strong foul smell . Ugh, what is that , I thought as I slightly scrunched up my nose while walking down the cheaply decorated halls to find my designated locker . When I did , I entered my code and organized all my stuff inside . I was so focused tidying up my locker that I almost missed a group of fine boys walking down the hallways with skateboards . I tried not to be too obvious as I observed them . I saw one of the boys put his necklace in his mouth and let it fall out while doing a hair flip, which made me chuckle, but he was a SKATER BOY, who cares ? I later found out his name was Ethan Morales, and his locker was next to mine, which I was very happy about . Now that I had developed a few hallway crushes , it was time to make some friends .
