Ugh. I'm so stupid! Why on earth would I agree to that? It would 100% get us in trouble, plus she had given me little to no info whatsoever! I'm screwed. So I did the only thing I could think of, I called Audrey. She came over to my dorm about 10 or so minutes later with a can of Rubicon and a bag of Sweet & Salty popcorn. I gasped, seeing the delicacies in her possession, the school would never let us have those. "Where the hell did you get those?" I asked, staring doe eyed at her. "My dorm-mate, Mya, she's had a stash under her bed for years, re-stocks it every summer!" Audrey laughed, shooting me an enthusiastic grin. I shook my head smiling to myself, I didn't even care how she got them from Mya, I just wanted to hug her. "So, where's Audrey?" She paused, "And why did you call me over here again?" I sighed, chewing the inside of my cheek, was I even allowed to tell her, what would happen if I did? "Not sure where Audrey went, library maybe?" I avoided eye-contact, staring at the navy blue carpet intently. I wanted to tell her so, so badly but if I told her Audrey would find out and drag her into it! I feel so ridiculous not being able to tell her about something so idiotic and not thought out but Audrey, in her stupid way, is good at finding things out. I mean, she probably should've figured out that that amulet or whatever it was is most definitely, unarguably not real. But like I said, she's not the brightest. "And why you called me over here...?" I shook my head, I'm an absolute fool, I should never have called her over here. "It doesn't matter, I should never have called you over in the first place." I mumbled, staring at my feet. She cocked her head, a smile playing on her lips, "Come onnn, don't be a party-pooper!" I covered my mouth, trying to conceal a smile. I kinda had to tell her didn't I? I mean she is my best friend after all... "Fine." So I tell her everything. My stomach ties in more knots with every sentence that leaves my mouth, but Audrey listens carefully through the whole thing, stuttering, pausing, everything. She even waits until the end to laugh about how stupid Allessandra is! "I just don't know what to do!" I finally said, a short silence, "I say you do it. I can come too!" I looked at her, dumbfounded, Is she actually suggesting we entertain this? "What? Oh my days, you cannot be serious right now." She simply rolled her eyes, knowing I was going to go along with it anyways, she just knows me. I reached over for a handfull of popcorn but my hand was slapped away. "No popcorn for you until you agree!" She giggled, holding the bag behind her back, gleaming eyes. I raised my eyebrows, seriously? My hands grasped thin air whenever I went to grab it as she moved it out of my reach every time. Eventually I had almost fully pinned her down, victory was mine... Until she rolled over on top of me and I was losing again. But then her face was inches away from mine still smiling madly as if she wasn't thinking about whatever she was doing, my heart skipped a beat, "Eeeeee" The door squeaked as it opened. Audrey leapt off me standing up straight, back to me. First I heard a gasp, then giggles, then murmurs, then footsteps walking away, door shutting. "Oh." I exchanged a look with Audrey, "That was nothing right?" I said, my stomach felt like it was a circus performer gone-rogue, "Yeah, I was just joking, I'm not- I don't-" She trailed off but I knew what she was going to say, 'I'm not gay' 'I don't like you like that', I'm glad though because I'm not gay either, I could never like a girl like that! Thank goodness. That would just complicate things way too much! "I think they thought that was something romantic there..." I muttered, chewing my lip anxiously. There was a long, awkward pause then finally, she said something. "Well it definitely wasn't, if anyone asks, say that we were... playing truth or dare online! And if we didn't do the dare we would be shamed for life!" I really don't think anyone would ever believe that unless they were completely clueless. "Maybe we just deny it?" She nodded slowly, agreeing, like it wasn't all that simple. "Erm... I should probably go now..." She trailed off, opening the door and walking out. "Wait! Uh, I think maybe you should come with me? To that stupid thing with Allessandra I mean." I stared down at my hands waiting for an answer for what seemed like years, "Yay!" Audrey laughed enthusiastically, "Call me over when you've got actual information!" I heard a smile in her voice. (A/N: Can you hear smiles in voices metaphorically?) Well I'm glad she doesn't feel too awkward about her strange 'joke'! I shot her a quick smile and closed the door hastily. What. The. Actual. Hell. I should forget about it, she doesn't actually like me like that, it was a joke. I need to get that in my stupid head! I'm just gonna pretend it never happened, it seems best. Okay, consider it dropped! I hop into bed, wondering what would happen when we went to find that amulet. We certainly aren't going to find anything and land ourselves in huge trouble but... a part of me kinda wanted to go anyways, I don't really know why, it's not like a have a choice anyways. Ugh I'm so stupid!
OKAY. I am sooooo sorry that not much happened in this chapter! I don't know why it's taken me so long to write basically nothing! I honestly don't know where this story is going but I love these characters so I CAN'T stop this story! I may start other stories but I'll try to keep this one a priority! I've just been having some trouble trying to think of what could be next. Thank you so much for reading though, I have basically no views on this story so it would help so much if you can share with friends, vote, follow, comment, ANYTHING! I take constructive criticism so PLEASE comment on places where you think could use some work!!!!! I am well aware that I am not the best writer, it's so fun though and I just want to get better and have people read my stories. THANK YOU! Okay, see you later! BYEEE
