Chapter 2

Summer POV

These 2 children have been through a lot.... Hopefully they can get back on there feet.. Heard from Raven that a boy with serious life threatening injuries was found which made my heart drop. I stood there watching as what I presume was his sister cry at his bed side holding on to his hand.

This job never gets any easier... Standing there made me feel like I have failed as a mother. Even though these are not my kids.

It doesn't help that I fought that "thing" it was strong, and a Grimm I've never saw before. Aloy if I remember correctly was right. This was a undiscovered one, and we know nothing about.

Raven: Standing there doesn't help you know. How you holding up? Heard you had a run in with the thing.

Summer: Got injured, but was able to defeat it.

That was a lie. I'm not sure what happened, but I could have sworn a man stood in between me, and that Grimm.

I touched my arm where the injury took place.

Raven: Let's go see the doctor maybe he can give us good news.

Summer: Yeah.....

Raven had already walked out the door. I looked down at my arm once more. Before pulling up the sleeve.

Summer: What is this?

Where I have been scratched has showed signs that of Grimm. The skin black, and the wound healed however the scar showed like it never healed properly.

Summer: Am I.... Turning into a Grimm?

This would be worry some.... I hope this isn't actually happening, but the boy looks fine. Even though he was injured by the same Grimm.

Summer: Hopefully he knows what's going on... Before something happens to me. I don't want to leave those I love behind. Not yet.

I left my sleeve drop down covering up the wound, and heading to see the doctor that is taking care of this patient.

Doctor: Good news.

We all look at him with hope.

Doctor: He'll make it. Some how. Maybe his Semblance kicked in, but he'll live.

We all signed in relief.

Summer: That's good to hear.

Doctor: However I noticed that the male, and female have different last names.

Summer: So? Half siblings?

Doctor: No. They seem to be adopted. Or well that's what my system is saying.

Tai: I thought this information is private to the caretakers.

Doctor: That's the problem. From what the girl told me. They lost there caretaker.

Tai: Oh......

Qrow sighs one more time.

Qrow: Which one lost there adopted member?

Doctor: From what my system says it'll be the boy.

Raven: Why you asking Qrow? You wanna be there next father figure?

Qrow: Heck no. I already have bad luck. For All I know he could be a god in disguise.

Doctor: That's an idea. Why don't you all take care of them?

Tai: We already have 2 kids. We can't afford another 2.

Summer: Tai I'm sure the government of Vale will pay us to take care of them.
