Raven: You had some pretty bad injuries. I wonder why no other Grimm showed up.

Y/n: What do you mean?

Raven: With emotions like sorrow, Sadness, and all that more Grimm would have came.

Tai: That's actually true. From what you told us. It was only 1 Grimm that Summer Killed.

Y/n: You killed it?! Amazing!

Summer just smiled. While the boy had starry eyes.

Summer: Thank you!

She lied again.... Not like anyone would know.

Aloy: Wow.....

She was in disbelief.

Who could blame her? A village with trained people couldn't take it out. Yet just a single person did. That's almost unbelievable, but it's not impossible either.

Aloy: Your like super duper skilled!

She also now shared her adopted brother eyes. Ones with stars of admiration.

Summer only giggled at the children's faces.

Raven: So your father is gone?

Raven completely ruined the mood, but she did not care. The faster out of here. The faster she could see her kid.

Aloy: I believe so...

Y/n sat there quietly. He shivered slightly though it was not cold in the room.

Y/n: Again......

Tai looked to the side. He thought about his daughters if they were in the boys shoes, and it didn't look good. He thought about what would happen if he passed? Didn't teach them anything on how to defend oneself, or survive on there own.... It sorta broke the man a little.

Tai: We have decided to take you in. Now this is your choice, and not be forced. However the invite is always there.

This surprised his teammates.

Qrow(Whisper): What changed your mind?

Tai(Whisper): The thought of my daughters in his shoes.

This got Qrow to nod his head. As he thought about what Tai just said.

Aloy looked down. She was thinking about it. She knew what this meant for Y/n after all. If he loses someone again. Who knows what mindset that would put on him, but she also knew that now is the time to survive, and thrive.

Aloy: Let's go, and take up the offer.

Y/n: Why?

Aloy: I know this'll be hard on you, but you cannot keep father's promise if we don't.

Y/n: All I have to do is protect you. Never said the living condition.

Aloy: You really wanna live on the streets?

Y/n thought about it. He knows what she said was true. Living in a home with adults that could provide is better than the streets.

Yet he doesn't know these people, and he doesn't know if they'll survive. Going through not 1 family, not 2 family, but a third one? Could his heart take that? Would his "bad luck" put this team to rest too?

What if they had kids, and the same thing happened with Rost. Where Aloy would lose her father. Would these children have to suffer as well?
