There were a few ways to get information on a deceased individual.
If they had died in your city or were born there, you could ask the city hall for their information.
You could also google their name on the internet, though it might prove to be a bit less efficient seeing as many people share the same name.
You could also ask their family, or their loved ones.
And finally, you could ask the place they worked at when they were still alive.
Only one of these ways would be available for a 3 months old child, though. And if they got caught, it'd probably be hard to play off.

A three months old Megumi sighed after yet another unsuccessful day of trying to guess what her mom's phone password was. She had been trying for ages now - starting about 10 days after she was reborn, since that was when people stopped visiting en masse. Yet, she still hadn't managed to guess what it could be, nor had she managed to catch her mom typing it. At this point, she would have given up already if it was about anything else - but wasn't she entitled to the knowledge of what happened to her family after her death? It was, after all, the one thing she could do in her current predicament.
But, here's the thing - her parents love her. Very much so. And while she's grateful, they sometimes got overbearing - especially considering the fact that her mom was still on maternity leave, meaning she spent most of her days looking after Megumi. Which also meant she had to play the part of a clueless child for most of the day. It was quite hard balancing trying to gain access to the internet while pretending to be a baby discovering the world for the first time - not only that, she also cringed a bit every time.
But the completion of her plan was what mattered most to her - which was why she waited patiently. And, finally, some day early into Megumi's 4th month on this earth, she found an opening - or, rather, an opening found her.

Seeing as Megumi was a quiet and well behaved child, her mom had started to leave her on her own in her parents room a bit more - she still checked on her every 20 minutes or so, but that was surely good enough for Megumi to scour her parents' bottom drawers looking for something, anything, that would help gain access to the internet. She originally wasn't finding anything ; and she knew her 20 minutes of solace were coming to an end. She was preparing to leave the drawer as she had found it, when something fell softly on the carpet with a muted ''tud''.
Curious as to what this unidentified flying (or rather, falling object) might be, Megumi grabbed it carefully, before her eyes widened in joy and anticipation - a smartphone! And it didn't look like those she had seen her father or her mother using, meaning it must've been an old discarded phone!
As she was busy celebrating what she had decided to keep as her own phone, she suddenly froze as she heard the door to the corridor open.
''Shit, the 20 minutes-'' she thought, gulping hard. She had to find a way to hide it without moving too much, or else her mom would see the phone, and she'd lose it forever - which was about the worst thing that could happen to her ever, since she's died already anyways. Putting her quick thinking cap on, Megumi started fake-coughing loudly as she slid the phone under her parents' bed, her coughing fit serving as an appropriate distraction. Her mom hurried over, panicked at the thought of her daughter being sick.
…Only to sigh in relief when she realized Megumi was only having a coughing and sneezing fit because she was playing on the ground - of course, there'd be a bit of dust there. Perhaps she was allergic? Anyways, Mei Xia bashfully as she picked up Megumi and hugged her, kind of embarrassed of how jumpy she was. But it's better than her not caring at all, she thought to herself as she nursed Megumi out of coughing.
