This chapter is kind of short and I might go back through and edit it to make it longer! I'm honestly just trying to get updates out as fast as I can. Thanks for reading and supporting my story!

I stepped back to look at myself in the full length mirror. I wore a white flowing mini dress with black strappy heels and a royal blue clutch to hold my important belongings. I honestly had no idea what the rich young adults wore to parties in New York. I also had no idea why I was going to this party. I hailed a cab to the address Lily had texted me and braced myself for the night. I didn't have to stay the whole night; The plan was to go in, be seen, meet a few people and then leave within two hours before it got too late.
Arriving at the party I was relieved to find that I was properly dressed for the occasion. The room was almost packed with plenty of men and woman my age, champagne glasses in their hands. It wasn't like the normal parties I was use to back in Australia, where we would drive out to the outback with beer and loud music, and dance the night away. a few people were dancing in the designated dancing area and there was a full bar with a bartender and servers walking around with champagne glasses. Fancy.
"Lucy! You made it!" Liam greeted me, his twin nowhere to be found.
"yeah, I said I would." I smiled up at him.
"Come dance with me." Before I could respond he grabbed my hand and led me to the dance floor. I wanted to shy away but i didn't want to embarrass myself. Luckily I didn't have to worry to much, Liam took the lead. He grabbed two glasses of champagne off from the server passing by and handing one to me as we walked over to a little seating area where Lily sat conversing with a pretty red head. Across from her sat Carson, who had his arm behind a girl, whispering in her ear as she giggled. He smirked at me as I sat down with them.
"Well , well, well, if it isn't Aussie." His words slightly slurring. He was drunk. He immediately went back to the girl who seemed to be hanging off everything he said, but not before glancing up at me and shooting me a wink.
Lily rolled her eyes at him. "Ugh, barf." She held out her tongue and pretended to make herself throw up. I giggled at her, sitting down next to her and the red head.
"Are you the Australian?" The red head girl looked at me. She had beautiful green eyes with a smokey eye making them stand out, porcelain skin and wore a loose little black dress and loubotins. "I'm Keeley."
Keeley reminded me of a fox. Her personality demanded attention and respect. I could immediately tell she wasn't the type of girl that you just crossed and got away with easily.
"Lucy!" I confirmed my name for her. I glanced up, watching Carson take the hand of the giggling blonde, disappearing behind a door.
Keeley pursed her lips in disgust. "Doesnt Rebecca Vanderveer have a boyfriend?"
"She's so trashy. New money is the worst." Lily obviously did not like the girl either.
Keeley looked over at me. "Please don't end up being a designer trash bag like her Lucy and sleep with every other guy you see."
"Um.. Don't worry about that." I tried to keep myself from blushing.
"What's your body count? We are friends right? Don't be shy. Mines five." Keeley didn't hold back at all. She was very forward.
"Um..."
Lily jumped in. "Don't worry Lucy, no judgement here, mines 2."
"Zero...." I mumbled.
"Wait what... What was that?!" Keeley and Lily looked surprised.
Lily let out a weird squeal of excitement. "Do you mean to tell me you're a 21 year old virgin?"
"Yeah.."
"So we can like sacrifice you and stuff right?" Keeley smirked.
"No..."
"Like a virgin sacrifice party? Like in house bunny?!" Lily began to get really excited. She seemed to always be excited now that I thought about it.
"I was just kidding, Lily."
Hanging out with Keeley and Lily was easy. Lily was an easy go lucky girl and Keeley was laced in sarcasm and was the queen of being a smart ass. I just some how seemed to fit in with my shy and reserved personality. We spent the night sipping champagne and they had even convinced me to dance with them.
I excused myself to use to rest room and luckily there was no wait for it. I quickly peed, washed my hands and walked back out.
"Well hello there, beautiful. Wanna dance?"
"No thank you I need to get back to my friends..."
"Ooh what an interesting little accent you have there." He grabbed my wrist and pulled me off with him. I was tipsy from all of the champagne, and found myself stumbling after him, trying to pull myself away but he was too strong.
"Stop.. Please let me go."
"Now, where is the fun in that, pretty lady?" He pulled open the door to a dark bedroom and pulled me in with him, pushing me into the bed.
"Jonathan, why don't you let the poor girl go, you pig." A familiar velvet voice came from the door.
Jonathan began to look scared and panicked. "knightly mind your own business. You've already had your share of fun for the night."
"Eh I don't feel like it. Why don't you go home before I make you." Carson's bored tone never failing to appear. Jonathan looked pissed, pushing past Carson and walking out the room, hopefully leaving the party. Carson then directed his eyes over to me, narrowing them in an icy glare. "Don't be a fucking idiot next time, Aussie."
I gulped, nodding my head. He turned around and left me by myself to get myself together. I said my goodbyes to Liam, Lily, and Keeley before hailing a taxi. Getting a taxi was a lot harder to do that they had made it seem on Gossip Girl, that was for sure. After finally getting one to stop for me I was on my way home. My mind drifted over to Carson. I needed to thank him but I knew that was going to be harder then it sounded. He hated me. It had to be because my mother had referred to him as a stray, but I had nothing to do with my mothers opinions and the things she said. He had saved me, so he had to be a
lot better than he seemed, right?
