Prolouge Rewritten Version

Tell me if there is something that I need to improve on this.

Ruby 

I crumbled to my knees as I saw Beacon get destroyed in front of my eyes. How did this happen? It felt like just yesterday, my team and I were studying, goofing off and practicing to become the best huntresses Remnant has ever seen...however, thanks to that new student...everything has changed. 

No more studying.

No more goofing off.

No more practicing.

We just needed to move and possibly find a way to stop Salem from destroying everything that we have ever known. Sadly, things are never that easy. Team PNR has been damaged and could hardly work together...unlike when he was here. My old friend, Jaune. The first best friend that I ever had and the person who was the glue that held his team together. He is also the person...who I betrayed. 

I should've struck by his side and help him through the bullying. Instead I just....turned my back towards him. How could I have been such a fool? A fool who not only spit on the legacy of her own mother, but also drove away the person who helped Weiss accept me as the leader. Sighing...I looked behind me and saw Sun and Neptune trying to strike a conversation with Velvet and Coco. Both of which we managed to find when they got separated from Fox and Yatsuhashi during the destruction of Beacon.

They were ignoring everyone except for each other and Uncle Qrow. I don't really blame them for doing so since they never left Jaune's side. Until the day that he disappeared after going in Emerald Forest. I was cut off from my thoughts when my sister placed her hand on my shoulder.

"You okay, Ruby?" Yang asked. 

"Yes. I was just thinking about...." I started to say before Yang pulled me into a hug. After Ozpin found Jaune's Corcea Mars and shield covered in his blood, everyone started to regret what they have done. However, that didn't erase our sin against Jaune which lead us to know. 

"Sigh...Who knew that everything would go to hell after Jaune disappeared?" Weiss said. 

"No one could've predicted that this could've happened." Blake said as she stared at her ruined bow in her hands. 

"Come on guys, we should be able to save Remnant and find Jaune while we're at it. We just need to stay calm and develop our skills more." Pyrrha said. I can see the rest of the team nodding along with her words and agreeing to save our home. I just hope that we'll find my best friend and bring him home to us and his family.

Never knowing that bringing him back wouldn't be easy like we originally thought.

I did the splits and punched my opponent in between the legs which caused them to become stunned. A fact that made the upper cut launch then into the air and bring them down for a victory. Guess Earthrealm is safe...for now. Though I can't helping feeling like someone was talking about me. 

Not like I could blame them considering how great I am. I just need to keep going to save Earth for my beautiful wife and daughter, the two most important women in my life. No matter what happens...

I will always protect them even if it means going against old friends.
