Dario
When I saw Atlas enter the room like he owned the fucking place, I knew he had done something horrid.
I had to think of a plan to save Bambi from his disgusting, awful grip. Unfortunately, I did not consider that he would lay his hands on my family as I was sure they would be safe in their house. I was foolish and blinded by irrelevant matters to think about other possibilities.
However, I knew one thing for sure. I needed Jolene's location for when she goes with him because, knowing her, she would eventually comply to save Enola and Andrea, whether I liked it or not.
I hate that I cannot control her actions, but I like this helpless side of me.
I am a walking contradiction.
One thing that bothered me the most about this whole ordeal was that Atlas did not seem to care that he killed my dad, the previous Romano's Don. He behaved like this was our first meeting, which infuriated me even more. He might not have remembered me since I was too young back then, but I was damn sure he would recognize my grandpa.
I wanted to shoot him, but I knew better than to risk my nephew's and sister's life.
I pulled out a digital chip I always keep with me from my pocket and opened the case. I put it in my mouth when I saw Lazlo slip a knife into Bambi's pants from behind. I was proud of his actions and quick thinking. I trained him perfectly, and he knew that she would need it.
The chip was a tracking device that needed to be with her so we could save her later.
I would not let her go with that fucker without a strategy, so I did what would seem natural for a 'married couple.' I wrapped my arms around her waist and kissed her.
I let myself enjoy this for a split second because she tasted heavenly, but then I focused on the mission at hand.
She froze and did not know where this proximity came from, but immediately followed my lead once I put my tongue into her mouth and slipped the chip. I felt euphoric about the connection, but I knew it was not the right time for a hard-on.
"It's a tracking device, keep it in your mouth, and we will come and get you," I whispered in her ear once I broke the kiss, and she nodded, looking bothered and hot.
"I guess it's alright since it is the last kiss you will ever have with her. I am that nice; now come here, my sweet Jolene, or I will kill you, Enola, and Andrea, right this instant," Atlas spoke, and I wanted to snap his neck and throw him into the sea, but that would be too generous of me to grant him such an easy death.
I will torture the living shit out of him once I get my hands on him.
I saw Atlas reaching out to grab her, but Bambi slapped his hand with a glare. "Don't fucking touch me. I am coming with you only because I want Enola and Andrea home. I hate every ounce of your disgusting self, so don't fucking lay a finger on me, you stalker son of a bitch!"
That's my girl!
Wait, she's not my girl.
But I want her to be my girl.
"But I, Atlas, need you, Jolene. Your skin is soft and beautiful; I need to touch you. To feel you up. I need you in my arms and under me and in me."
Grandpa and Giovanni grabbed my arms, holding me back from finishing him. I was so furious I probably popped a few veins in my body. My feelings got the best of me, so I kicked the closest thing to me, which was a damn chair.
I know, I am fucking pathetic!
Bambi looked at me with concern, and I instantly calmed down for her sake. She turned back to Atlas, and I took a deep breath. "No, you need a psychiatrist—a mental hospital, even."
She glared at him so hard I thought he would slap her, but he sighed, seemingly feeling defeated. "Fine, I won't touch you... yet. Move, and I will tell my men to release them once we're where I want us to be. Dario, no one follow us," Atlas replied with a sly smile.
Being angry at Atlas was a whole different feeling from being mad at Jolene. She was sexy when she did it. He was a hideous fucking duckling that got burned in hell and brought back to life.
I nodded despite my wrath, and they were out of the door. Instantly, chaos broke out, and I grabbed Giovanni's shoulders as if my life depended on it. He looked startled but did not say anything.
"I slipped a tracking device in her mouth when I kissed her; here are the coordinates. Open the damn laptop and tell me if you can see them," I instructed, and he did as I demanded without questions.
He better not question me.
"So you didn't just feel like kissing her!" Grandpa said as he nudged my shoulder, and I rolled my eyes. As much as I enjoyed the contact with her lips, it was only to save her sweet ass.
I grabbed Giovanni's phone off the table. "Mattia, do they look hurt?"
"No, Dario, but I want to run and get them." His sounded in pain, and I understood because they were my family too. Grandpa looked surprisingly calm, especially after punching Atlas, and I sensed he did enough damage to his stomach to slow him down since Grandpa was famous for his deadly hands' strength. Atlas might not have felt it at the moment, but he will eventually, making me feel slightly better about leaving Bambi alone with him.
"Don't do anything stupid. You might cause their death. Stand by until they release them. The moment they do, don't leave any crumbs," I replied, and he agreed.
I focused back on my men, and they looked restless. "Giovanni, any update?"
"Yes, take a look." He turned the laptop and showed me their way. I narrowed my eyes as I calculated their route and cursed under my breath.
"They are heading to the airport!" I concluded, and my men looked at me in fright.
They know that I might not be able to see her again if she got out of the country.
I felt helpless because it was all my fault. If I had just killed Atlas the moment I decided to keep an eye on him, none of this would have happened. I rubbed my temple with my gun, and Grandpa pulled it away, thinking I would shoot myself.
I was livid, not suicidal.
