august sat inside of the living room of the house she shared with conan. she was surrounded by all of her friends and family.
it was 11:47 pm and it was almost time for august to release her new song at 12:00 am. she was kind of nervous but nevertheless excited.
"are you excited?" august nodded, a bit startled by olivia suddenly plopping down next to her on the couch.
"yesss!!" august replied, a smile on her face. olivia giggled before pulling august into a hug.
august was surprised, but she immediately hugged the girl back, getting a whiff of the very expensive perfume she had on.
the hug felt like it lasted forever. but in reality it was a quick hug. like one you would give to a friend. august didnt know why this made her mad, or sad you could say. because her and olivia were just friends. nothing else.
while august was thinking to herself, she felt olivia pull away from the hug, still smiling at the girl. august was pulled out of her thoughts immediately. she looked down at her phone and realized it was already 11:56 pm.
time was moving by so fast.
"alright everyone let's gather in the backyard" conan says, beckoning everyone to the slide door that leaded outside of the house.
august walked outside of the house, followed by olivia, robynn, grailey, and israile. everyone was sitting around the fire pit. now waited for 12:00 am to strike.
"its 10 seconds until 12:00!!!" grailey says, before starting a 10 second countdown.
"TEN!"
"NINE!"
"EIGHT!"
"SEVEN!"
"SIX!"
"FIVE!"
"FOUR!"
"THREE!"
"TWO!"
"ONE!!" everyone shouted as the timer went off, causing everyone to cheer and clap.
august smiled, before being pulled into a hug by her idol, her big brother, and her best friend. her brother.
"I'M SO HAPPY FOR YOUU!!!"
august smiled, "thank you so so so so much. i couldnt have done any of this without you" august says, pulling her brother in a tighter hug.
"okay, you can let go now" conan says, trying to wiggle out of augusts hug.
"fine."
