There was something about a nice run to put you in a good mood. The relaxing and refreshing lightweight feeling you got in your body as if you could go on forever and not get tired--more importantly, all the previous stress and worries just sweated away, leaving your mind clear and new.

It was just you in your own little world and nothing else.

I cut through the alleyway, jogging lightly until I reach the backyard.

There on the street by our backyard, was the yellow Camaro with black stripes parked in front of my truck. Stretching my arms, I walk towards the car and whistle softly.

"Guess, Sammy ended up getting you, huh?", I chuckled as I peered inside. A bee with the word Bee-otch caught my attention which made me laugh.

"I guess you are like a bumblebee. Hmm, yup! Your name will be Bumblebee, Bee for short", I nod in approval.

"Bye, Bee!", I smiled at the Camaro before skipping towards my truck which was still filthy.

"Hi there, Handsome. All that dirt and grime must be very uncomfortable, huh?", I patted the hood gently. The truck is warm to the touch, no doubt due to the beaming sun.

"Okay, Handsome, I'm gonna wash off and then we'll go to get you washed up", I rub the bumper tenderly before jogging back inside.

I pull into the car wash and place the truck in neutral. My phone rings and I answer it immediately.

"Yo", I lean back against the leather seat comfortably.

"Hey, Aphie. There's a party at the lake", Mikaela Banes, my best friend and (sadly) also Jerk-face Trent's girlfriend informed me.

I sigh at this.

"Mickeyy", I groaned in protest.

"Let me rephrase. Aphrodite Rose Wolfhart, you are coming to the party", she says sternly.

"The government name! Mademoiselle!", I gasped dramatically.

"You left me no choice", Mickey huffed. I scoff.

"Didn't leave me any choice", I retort.

"Please, Aphie. I need my best friend with me, it's no fun without her", Mikaela used her, what I like to call, her siren charm. Something I taught her and to this day regret.

"Argh, you know I can't resist that", I pouted. Mickey laughed softly, fondly.

"Sorry, Aphie. But I really do want you there", she said. I sigh in defeat to which she squeals excitedly.

"Fine, hon. I'll be there", I tell her.

She begins to quickly tell me the details of the party and I swore I could hear the grin on her face.

"Bye, love you!", Mickey giggled.

"Bye, love ya too", I chuckled before hanging up. I rest my head back against the seat and sigh once again, this time, tiredly. My eyes fall on the radio and I lean forward to turn it on.
