Chap. 1 - intro

In a land or I should say in a ocean far away...there was a place filled with lots and lots of mermaids and mermen...many of them would go outside to swim around discover new stuff....but in a small coral reef was a regular mermaid who had long hair that was being brushed by her friend...y/n was her name and she was quite new to the town...."oh! I'm just so jealous bestie!" your friend Ameta said as she was ruffing up your hair and throwing it around...."what do you mean?"

Your fiend sighed as she continued brushing..."Its just so long and shiny...your lucky to have hair like that!...oh! and also what part of the water did you come from?...cause I heard mermaid who come from Coral Vile usually have shiny hair and scales.." you giggled a bit..."well actually come from the lake vile pond..." y/n said quietly as she just gasped..."that place!? I heard they have beautiful waters! is that true!" she said surprised..."Well yes they do, but to be honest it doesn't have that many variety of corals or plants as to here...I mean lake vile just have rocks and algae...and some regular water plants..."

y/n and Ameta kept talking until y/n's mom cam downstairs..."are you hungry?...I made your favorite y/n!" she said happily as she started to set the table...."oooooo yep always ms. L/n!" Ameta said as she just swam up at the table leaving the brush in y/n's hair..."hey! you left your brush in here..." y/n said playfully as she swam up to the table and started eating...

"Your cooking is great Ms. L/n!" Ameta said as she was just inhaling all of the food...and y/ns mom just giggled.."Well I do enjoy cooking...and thank you for stopping by Ameta...well I think it's best you too start going now..." y/n's mom said as she walked over to kiss y/n's head and y/n just smiled and gave her a hug..."how are you so pretty huh?" y/n's mom said as she played with y/n's hair and she just giggled..."mom stop..."

y/n mom just smiled and went back to doing the dishes after the both of them were done eating Ameta got up and grabbed y/n's arm..."come on Come on!...let's go! I don't wanna miss the weekend trip do we?" y/n just went with her and said goodbye to her mom as she grabbed her bag and walked with her...."so where do we go again?" Ameta just rolled her eye's playfully..."didn't I tell you we were going to the museum?" y/n just shrugged "dunno, are we?" Ameta just face palmed..."yes yes we are y/n now come on!...i got are tickets to go on the bus!"

Once they were on the bus y/n and Ameta got seats together...and the bus started moving going through a huge kelp forest...y/n was looking outside the window and saw so many different sea bunnies stingrays and even some fish swimming by...but what caught y/n off guard was that she could have sworn she saw a shark...but only a shadow of it from behind the talk kelps...and Ameta saw that y/n looked a bit distraught..."hey something wrong?" Ameta said in a bit of a worried tone making y/n jump a little...

"o-oh it's nothing....I just thought I saw something is all...." y/n said quietly as she was playing with her hair..."hmmm well if it will make ya feel any better...there's nothing ever dangerous in this part of the ocean...well except for sea urchins now those hurt getting stung by!"

y/n just smiled and sighed as the small twinge of fear she had before vanished at her friends words...then the bus stopped and everyone got off..."hey get your tail out of the way!" you heard a boy say as your tail was harshly shoved to the side..."Hey what the kelp is your problem!" Ameta shouted as you quickly got away from the situation tugging Ameta along with you..."Ameta please...there's no reason to argue about something so pathetic...and I know it sounds harsh what I said but-" before y/n could even finished Ameta yelled at her..

."Pathetic! Pathetic!? Look I know where not very close friends but I still care about you! and you can't just let people walk all over you like that y/n!" y/n looked around as everyone was whispering and looking at the both of them....maybe she was right...maybe having a lot of friends were a bad idea..."Please stop..." She whispered as Ameta looked at everyone..."What are you looking at!?...and y/n look you need to stand up for yourself you need to speak louder and have a voice I believe in you..." y/n felt very overwhelmed and embarrassed by the whole situation that she slowly started backing away..."Come on say something! anything?" before y/n could respond the teacher Mrs. waterback swam over...

"What is the meaning of this!?..yelling and shouting and causing such a scene?...pathetic I must say..hmpf!...come a long your wasting your clam mates time!.." y/n and Ameta both agreed as the teacher directed everyone to go inside...both y/n and Ameta where last following from behind...until y/n stopped as she looked behind her and saw something it was another shark shadow making her freeze up..."y/n?...gosh! come on we have to go!" y/n felt Ameta take y/n's arm as she just dragged her inside..."The inside was filled with lots of bones...and even a skeleton...the teacher was talking away about how dangerous the ocean can be in certain places and what is....dangerous...

"Now now children let us walk outside togther so that we can see the end of the reef..." The teacher said as everyone was at the edge of the reef...y/n heard that part was forbidden to go to for there were dangerous beings there that could Eat you..y/n shivered a bit at that thought..."Mrs. waterback...is there such thing as a friendly shark?" Mrs. waterback just gasped at the girls question..."Child! what in the seven seas are you even thinking! there will never be such thing as a friendly shark ever! and you should know that by now since you are all in high school..."

Mrs. waterback said sternly..y/n looked at the boy who pushed her earlier and heard him speaking...."I've heard about a giant GIANT kraken king who lives down there! my father said he went down there and saw him with his own two eyes! he said that he had shark servants who would do his bidding!" The other guys just laughed a bit at his comment..."Really?...that old tale...please I'm sure your dad just told you that because he wanted to scare you...." y/n saw another guy throwing pebbles down the edge of the reef..."I mean that really does sound dumb....plus why would he want to live in some scary dark lame cave..." The boy interrupted him...

"wait wait wait! there's more!...my dad said that if you were to enter his cave there would be tons of riches there! he also told me that the kraken king would go to the surface sometimes to take down whole ships and eat their whole crew!..." the two other guys just sighed..."don't listen to them y/n...there a bunch of barnacole brains come on I want to see the view!" y/n just nodded her head as she looked down it was dark and eerie.

"Do you think someone like what they said really lives down there?" y/n asked as Ameta started laughing..."y/n please...hehehe...that's just some little fish tale...no need to worry..." Everyone heard clapping sounds as it was Mrs. waterback trying to get there attention..."Alright everyone go back to the bus! are time here is done!..." everyone just sighed or whined as they started heading back..."Come on y/n let's go!" Ameta said tiredly in a bit of a whining tone..."Umm sure just a moment I kinda need to use the bathroon..." y/n lied as he friend just sighed...

"Okay meet cha at the bus then! and don't worry I'll tell the teacher but try and hurry back okay?" y/n just nodded....after Ameta left y/n just kept staring at the reef still pondering about what the boy said..."I mean it could be true..." y/n muttered after that she was about to head back until she heard a voice....a musky voice..."Hello there Pretty pretty fishy~" y/n stopped as she was filled with fear at that moment...for what stood before her was a big shark...the shark had short hair, red eyes, and appeared to be drooling a lot...y/n couldn't help but start shaking..."What's wrong?...fishy cold?"

He said as he approached closer and y/n scooted back a little..."Well you won't be cold...once your in my MOUTH!!!" just then he lunged at y/n making her quickly jump back but he got a hold of the tip of her tail making her scream a bit as she swam away tearing her tail and leaving a bit of blood.....this is bad this is Really REALLY bad!!!...y/n yelled in her mind, y/n was running around the large cliff making sure she doesn't fall in...until she got cornered by a large coral rock that she ran into...

"AHA! got you little fish~" you froze up as you tried to kick at him but he just grabbed your tail and dangled you upside down..."Now now...no need to fight you fate is sealed~" everything felt like slow motion as you could see your life practically flash before your eyes...you started tearing up until there was a loud horn sound startling you and the shark as the shark accidentally let go of you and you fell down the cliff....

you screamed in pain as you could feel your skin scrapping on some of the sharp rocks as you bumped against them...you kept falling until you got caught into a net that made you spin around as you tumbled all the way down the cliff....once you got down to the bottom you felt your back hit a hard wooden piece as you slowly looked around in pain still on your stomach...."Ow!!!" you choked out as you started crying since your body couldn't handle the pain anymore...and before you could get up a giant plank from the old ship fell on your back making you pass out....
