The bright lights and the smell of popcorn awaited as we walked into the Carnival. I was here with Dylan, since we'd hung out all morning since meeting at the park. We'd gone back to get more ice cream, and just sat on the swings while talking.

Sam,Tori, Emily, Ella, and Valentina were all going to meet us at the front. So were Dylan's friends. They weren't here yet, but Olivia and Mason were.

Dylan and I walked up to Olivia and Mason.

"Hey." I said, nervously. Since Dylan didn't really know any of us, I wondered if he felt uncomfortable.

"Hey." said Olivia, distractedly. Probably since Mason's hands were intertwined with hers. It looked like they were pretty much together now.

"Dylan, this is Olivia, and her date, Mason." I gestured. I wondered what Olivia thought of Dylan, so far.

"Nice to meet you," Dylan said with a confident smile.

"Nice to meet you too." Said Mason, somewhat awkwardly. Like Dylan, he really only knew one person well at the moment, Olivia.

"Yeah, nice to finally meet the guy who Sienna's been talking about all summer." I kicked Olivia in the shin.

"Ow!" she exclaimed.

Dylan just laughed. There was a brief awkward silence, as everyone tried to come up with more conversation topics. Thankfully, just then, Dylan's friends arrived. There were about 4 of them. As a general rule, they were all pretty decent looking, although, in my opinion, Dylan was cuter.

One of them, a taller blonde guy stepped closer.

"So you're Sienna. You're just as beautiful as Dylan said you were." He smiled, probably expecting me to faint or swoon or something. Maybe a week ago, I would have, but not now. Not now that I'd met Dylan.

"Uh, thanks. And you are?"

"Logan. But you can call me sexy, baby, or whatever you want." Logan winked. Dylan stiffened beside me.

"Leave her alone. She's here with me, not with you." He said, his jaw clenched.  Logan just smirked and chuckled.

"Calm down. I only did it because its amazing how upset you get."

"Logan, shut up. You're being a douchebag," remarked another one of Dylan's friends.

"I'm Owen. Excuse his behaviour." He jerked his thumb toward Logan, who was absorbed into his phone. "We've known Dylan since he was just a tiny little 1st grader." Owen had wavy brown hair, and understanding eyes. He looked pretty intelligent.

I was confused. Didn't Dylan just move here? I frowned, and looked in his direction.

"I used to live here, up until 8th Grade. Then, I moved to Chicago for while, but now I'm back."

"So, how come you're going to Blackthorn if none of your friends are going? I've never seen you guys around."

"These guys go to Cherrygrove. I tried applying there, but since I don't live in the neighbourhood, and they already have lots of students, I didn't get accepted." Wow, I thought. I sure was glad that Cherrygrove didn't accept him, so I could see Dylan more often.

"Yeah, and it sucks. I thought we were all gonna be all together again, like in the old days." Once again, a new voice spoke up. I examined the new addition to the conversation. He had dirty blonde hair, and from his build, he looked like a football player.

"Oh well, at least we can still hang out." A guy who looked extremely hungover walked forwards. Even though he was hungover, and his eyes were bloodshot, he looked decent. His hair was a mess, and the dark brown strands stuck out in random directions. He yawned.
