·±·Scene I - Common Area {Maki's POV}·±·

We enter scene I with Maki conversing with his friends in the common area of campus

"Dude last night was crazy!! She was so hot man, I couldn't resist" My friend said... Or something like that. I'm not really sure, I was too focused on Sora about 30 feet away from me. Every time they were around I couldn't help but stare, I know it's rude, but god, they were just so gorgeous. The way their hair floated when they moved it out of their face, the way the sun shone on their sapphire blue eyes, the effortless flick of their wrist as they sketch on their tablet. I couldn't help but say every little detail in my head, they were perfect. So perfect, that I couldn't find a single flaw about them. I'm sure they have red flags, but from afar, they're a walking white flag, absolutely perfect.

"Helloo? Earth to Maki? Ya there??" My friend snapped his fingers in front of my face. I flinched. "What?? Did something happen?" I asked not realizing I had spaced out, admiring Sora. "You were staring at them again. You're gonna get caught one day you know." He replied as if he'd rehearsed his words beforehand. I stayed silent for a moment before saying "Sorry, I just can't stop looking at them." My friend looked over to Sora, "Go talk to them then!" he said turning his head back to me. "Absolutely not, that's terrifying-" I quickly responded. He stared at me in disbelief, "You?? Terrified?? Maki you're the most social person at Newbell" I glanced back at Sora, and then at the floor, "This one's different though..."

"Different? Different How, Maki? It's just another person you can very well socialize with." He looked at me, confused. "It's just- I-" I paused. I didn't know how it was different. I'd never felt this way for anyone before, not even near the way I felt about Sora. "Maki, you like them, don't you?" Lola asked in an assuring manor. Lola was one of my closest friends, like a sister to me. "I- I don't know. I've never liked someone enough to say that I genuinely have feelings for them." Lola looked at Sora as I said that. "I mean, they're cute! I definitely approve" she laughed, messing with me. I glanced in Sora's direction again, they were talking to someone, I believe his name was Mylo?

"Hey Maki- I think they're waving at you" My friend said as he looked back and fourth from me to Sora. I turned my head in their direction. Sure enough, they were waving at me, smiling too. It was adorable, their smile made me feel warm and fuzzy inside. I waved back, and Sora motioned for me to go over to them. "I'll uh- I'll be back guys" I said to my friends, as I walked towards Sora and Mylo.
