Roman's POV

She told me she loved me last night.

But I kissed her first so it makes us even because I wanted to tell her first.

I exhale while she sleeps on me and watch her patiently.

I'm not sure how long I watch her but at some point, she starts waking up and squints at me.

"You're awake."

I smile at her adorable flushed face.

"Yes, my love."

The last bit of my answer makes her hide her face in my chest, which is fine by me.

If it were up to me she'd always be with me like this.

"How long have you been staring at me like that?"

I chuckle.

"Like what?"

Her eyes meet mine and sparkle.

"Like you love me."

"Since the moment I ran through that puddle and soaked you," I shrug, fixing a piece of hair so I can see her face, "not the last time I'm getting you wet, darling."

She shudders a bit at my last comment, trying to play it off.

"I never pegged you as a romantic."

I kiss her forehead.

"I never thought you'd be shy," I retort, "but here we are."

She runs a frustrated hand through her hair and rolls her eyes at me.

I grab her chin and force her to meet my eyes.

"No need to be disrespectful."

I pull her on top of me and slip my hands under her shirt, squeezing her ass.

She shivers in my grasp, at which I smirk.

"Make me breakfast, Roman."

She shakes out of my embrace and sprints to the bathroom before I can stop her and I put an arm over my eyes.

While she's in the bathroom, I scroll through my phone and respond to emails.

I get an alert letting me know that the city of New York is shut down for the rest of the day due to the blizzard that hit last night.

That means Amira and I get to spend all day together.

An email lights up my phone just as I put it down, and it's from Juliana.

I quickly read the email and my smile drops.

Amira doesn't need a relationship right now, she hasn't gotten an offer yet. She's better off without you, Roman. I know how you feel about her and that you could be good for her but just give her space for now.

I roll my eyes at the email and hit delete.

After throwing my phone on the nightstand, I head over to the bathroom and find it empty, so I quickly freshen up and head downstairs.

Amira's standing in the pantry, probably searching for her weird cereal.

Lucky for her, I stocked up on it.

"Amira, sweetheart."

She whips around and I watch a blush creep up on her cheeks.

"Hi."

I walk to her and hug her.

"What was that for," she asks as I keep her in my arms, "is it because I--
