"so, about your child's grades.. i'd say that they're pretty decent, actually." the teacher said as she scrambled through the files, trying to find gyuvin's report.

as soon as she found it, she started to list out each grade of every class gyuvin attended.

"for history, he got an A minus."

"that's not too bad!" his mom cheered.

"for korean, he got an A."

"oh, that's fine." gyuvin's dad said, patting his back.

after most of the subjects were done, gyuvin started to look down and suck in his lips nervously.

"..and for fine arts, he got a C."

"owhhhh..." his parents dragged, baffled.

"a C in fine arts!?" his mom uttered.

"look, gyuvin, i always knew you were bad at arts but-"

"okay, okay, i can explain!" gyuvin interrupted his dad, shaking around his hands in denial.

"i suck at fine arts, but i really tried my best! i attended every class and.." gyuvin paused.

"not exactly," his teacher started to speak. "he would attend every class, but leave halfway through or give up on the assignment."

.....

gyuvin could literally feel the eyes of his parents on him, staring into the wooden floor right beneath him.

"gyuvin! you shouldn't be skipping classes! we did not raise you to do this." gyuvin's dad scolded.

the nagging went on for a few minutes before they all collectively took their leave.

gyuvin and his family didn't have a complicated relationship- in fact, he absolutely loved them, and he knew that they loved him too. his parents were just being normal parents after all, and gyuvin understood that they wanted him to be the best he could be.

it was just difficult for him to balance out his school and heroic life. even in school hours, gyuvin would have to leave due to his spidey sense going off.

sometimes it wasn't even solely because of the fact that he was spiderman - it's true, gyuvin lowkey thinks he sucks at art. it just didn't help that he wouldn't have enough time to finish any of his artworks, considering how time-consuming it was compared to other assignments.

it was difficult keeping a secret all to himself, and in moments like these- gyuvin truly felt alone.

"gyuvin, how were your grades today?" gunwook asked as he pushed against his controller's joystick, motioning his hands all over the pillow on his lap.

"meh, it wasn't too bad if you asked me." gyuvin replied as he spun his chair around, looking over his report file.

"oh? that's a different answer from our last grade report, where you said something about it being great." gunwook said before staying silent to focus on the game, desperately fumbling around with the buttons and joysticks to switch around the players.

gunwook pressed down the shoot button as soon as he deemed the timing to be proper. he was then immediately greeted to disappointment, watching the ball get deflected back through a header by the opposing defender.

"damnit! i need to warm up to this game again.." gunwook groaned, throwing his head back.

"what happened?" gyuvin lifted his head up to watch gunwook's gameplay, searching for the score board. "two-nil? that's pretty okay!"
