Amayah Luna Ferrars
"NO!" I sat up on my bed, sweating profusely and breathing heavily. My chest was heaving while I tried calming myself down.
I had a nightmare again. I closed my eyes and laid back down slowly. I took a deep breath and sighed. I opened my eyes again and looked for my phone on the bedside table. I turned it on to check the time and as I expected, it's four in the morning.
As much as I want to go back to sleep since I'm still tired, I decide not to. One nightmare is enough for today.
I got up from my bed and stumbled my way over to my bathroom. I stood infront of the mirror to take a look at myself and shit, I'm terrified of my ownself.
My brown eyes look puffy, forehead covered in sweat, dark brown hair tangled in a mess. And to finish it off, my face looks hella pale. Damn, I look like I'm straight out of a horror movie.
I quickly brushed my teeth and hopped into the shower. I took off my pjs and washed myself thoroughly.
Soon enough, I got dressed into a simple white tee and blue baggy jeans.
I opened my phone to check the time again and I noticed that it's only been an hour since I woke up. My mom usually wakes up after six, so I still have to wait for another hour.
Contemplating between having a quick nap and going through my phone, I chose to go with the second option.
I opened my Instagram to check my messages and woah, I didn't receive a single message from anyone. What a surprise. Hah, as if I had friends. I pushed everyone away from me after that incident.
Involuntarily, my finger clicked on a certain person's chat. We used to talk everyday untill six months ago. One of my online best friends.
She disappeared out of nowhere. I miss her. She was one of my only friends whom I hadn't kicked out of my life.
Anyways.
Enough of using my phone. I decided to lay down for a while.

"Ama, good morning!" A soft voice made my eyes snap open.
"I dozed off?" I murmured to myself.
"You're already ready for school?" Mom blinked.
"Uh—it's my first day, Ma. I'm excited," Though the last part was a lie, I gave mom a smile.
As soon as I spoke, she sprinted towards me and put her palm on my forehead, checking my temperature, "are you sick? Or did the sun rise from the west?"
