Contrary to popular belief, we actually live here and it's not only for parties, so as I swing open the frat house door, I'm seeing red. You wouldn't know this area was an alcohol and drug extravaganza less than 48 hours ago, so one of the guys must have had the cleaning service we use throughout the year come through. We always have beer and alcohol on hand, which is a benefit of living here. I storm into the kitchen and grab a drink from the refrigerator.

Before I can even open my lips to object, Miles enters casually and grabs the beer from my hand. I sigh and grab one more from the refrigerator. Miles lifts his eyebrows at me, and I'm not sure what look I'm sporting. "You look like you're getting ready to punch a wall." Before placing the bottle on the kitchen island, he took a sip of the lager.

Since no female has ever turned me down so rudely or snuck out of my bed while I'm sleeping, I actually felt like I could in this situation. How is it possible that she forgot last night? Even so, she hadn't consumed that much. I've never been humiliated in front of others. "Do you remember the blonde girl I was chatting with the last night?" His attention spikes; to be truthful, this has never occurred to me. I've never felt this way about a girl. Being the lacrosse god has its rewards, as girls fling themselves at my feet.

"The one who wasn't interested in you?" He quips.

I groan; he seen her leaving my bedroom pretty early in the morning, and he let me hear all about it when I woke up. "Yeah her" he nods signaling me to continue. "Went to the library because I seen her walk in"

"You know where the library is?!" Shock plasters his face. I wave him off and continue.

She's making a big production out of it in the library, like she has no idea who I am. I was being watched by everyone, who thought I was trying to take her captive against her will. It was terrible, buddy, and as she stormed out, a lot of people looked at me like I was a big jerk.

Miles offers a head shake. He says, "Honestly dude," and starts looking through the refrigerator. If left unattended for a long time, I swear this man could consume all the food in the home. He must have noticed the perplexed expression on my face when I said, "I'm sick of them. That woman? Her father is undoubtedly wealthy. She's superior than you and is simply pretending to be ignorant of you so she can remove her rocks and go swimming. They think they can take advantage of everyone, and I'm sick of it.

"I mean yeah it sucks but.."

An evil smirk crosses his face "No, let's give them a taste of their own medicine." Im slightly afraid of the expression on my friends face.

"Okay..." I say slowly "what do you have in mind?" I push, Miles has had his heartbroken by a few girls the past few years and honestly I don't think he got over it in a healthy way.

"A bet. You get her to fall in love with you by the end of the year, and just as you think you have her by the scruff of the neck, you ghost her utterly fall off the face of the earth, block her on everything. You're a gambling man" wrong, I earned $1000 playing blackjack once, that hardly makes me a gambling man. "Like she did to you, act as if she doesn't even exist."
