A boy stands, looking up at a colossal creature. His hands shake against the gun he holds in his hands. He watches the creature intently as it lets out a fearsome roar.
And yet, he stands his ground, donning an angry look.
"Steady," He whispers beneath his breath. The creature tilts its head back to charge. The boy unloads a clip into the dinosaur. "That's for her."
The dinosaur's tough hide manages to stop most of the bullets, allowing it to continue its charge. Dodging by mere meters, the boy escapes the creature's jaws. As the boy watches the animal move, he can't help but feel like he has already failed.
This same dinosaur was the one to kill his lover. He held immense resentment towards it. He fired another round at the creature. It slumped over, allowing the survivor to let out a shaky breath.
As he creaped over to it, he heard it's breath slow. It was almost completely gone.
He kneeled by the side of it. "Allosaurus," he whispered.
He met it's eye. It's a whited-out eye. The creature let out a last deep breath.
"And Cut! That's a wrap!" The director's voice resonates through the set, signaling the end of the scene. A surge of relief and satisfaction washes over Y/N as he realizes he has successfully completed his role. The excitement of the moment brings a smile to his face, a testament to the satisfaction of a job well done.
As he makes his way back to his trailer, he can't help but feel a tinge of nostalgia. The set is bustling with crew members dismantling equipment and packing up, ready to move on to the next location. His belongings are neatly packed, awaiting transportation, but he can't resist the urge to take one last look at the set that has become his temporary home.
As Y/N retraced his steps, he found himself immersed in the ambiance, soaking in every detail. The stage elements and artifacts that had created an alternate realm were now being dismantled, marking the end of an era. It was a moment filled with mixed emotions—pride in his accomplishments mingled with a touch of sadness as he realized this chapter of his journey was closing. After devoting four years to the production, completing the trilogy brought a flood of feelings, both sweet and sorrowful.
Heading towards his trailer, he was met by his agent, who eagerly presented a contract. Curious about the new opportunity, Y/N greeted him warmly.
"Hey, Don! Whatcha got for me?" He asked, his interest piqued.
With excitement, Don explained the offer of an all-exclusive, free trip to the new Camp Cretaceous since all of Y/N's scenes were shot. The idea of a real-life dinosaur adventure thrilled him, but he had to consider his upcoming commitments.
"That sounds amazing! But how long is the trip? I have to shoot that new Disney show soon," he inquired, already planning ahead.
Understanding his concern, Don assured him that filming wouldn't start until November, leaving him with a two-week break. Y/N breathed a sigh of relief as everything seemed in order. However, Don's next words about maintaining secrecy during the trip caught his attention.
"They want to keep your visit under wraps," Don explained. "You'll need to dye your hair, wear contacts, and even use height-boosting shoes to avoid being recognized. However, on the third day, you'll have a surprise meet and greet."
Realizing the necessity of these measures, Y/N agreed to comply.
"Alright, I guess that's no problem. When do I leave?" he asked, ready for the adventure.
"They want you there by Sunday, so you better leave as soon as possible," Don replied, handing him a bottle of hair dye and contacts.
As he prepared to sign the contract, he wondered about his fellow campmates.
