For the people wondering about the age and time frame in this story lemme break it down. The main character, Xylia, will only be in middle school for two chapters, high school for about 10 and the rest is her being grown and mostly independent while being in a relationship.
If you are looking for a book that is mostly about her high school life and includes her parents a lot then this is the wrong book for you. I wanted them to be young but still be able to be independent and take care of themselves especially because she is an entrepreneur (along with her close friends).
I wanted her to have a background and for people to know where she comes from and basically sum up her life to make this easier to write that's why she starts in middle school and then goes to high school and starts to form into an adult and adjusts to adulthood.
