The Betrayal

Pepper and I sat in front of the giant TV watching a series called Once Upon a Time when Tony came in.

"Hey. How was the meeting?" Pepper asked.

"I'll tell you about it later." Tony said and sat down, slightly nervous. His eyes were mostly on the screen but they kept flicking up to look at me. It seemed like my presence unsettled him. I frowned and tried to ignore him. I glanced at my watch and my eyes widened in surprise. It was already 11:30 pm.

"I guess I'm gonna go to bed. Goodnight." I told them and walked to my room. After lying on my bed for fifteen minutes I got up again.

"Jarvis?" I asked.

"Yes Sir?" The AI replied.

"Please direct me to the pool."

"Yes Sir." I followed his directions then stopped as I heard hushed voices. I looked around the corner and saw Tony and Pepper talking quietly.

"...Pepper, I'm telling you. Fury wants Percy. I don't know why but he does." Tony said urgently.

"Tony, why would S.H.I.E.L.D want him? He's only seventeen!" Pepper protested.

"I don't know okay! But Fury has sent the Avengers to hunt him down."

"You're not going to tell them where he is, are you?"

"No. Of course not. He's my nephew. I don't know what Fury's playing at but I don't like it."

"Me neither." They were both silent for a while.

"Anyway, I need to go on a business trip for two days. Just... just keep an eye on Percy. I'm worried." Tony said. Pepper sighed.

"Me too." I stepped back silently and carried on heading to the pool. Who is this Fury person? Why is he after me? As soon as I was there I took off my shoes and dived in. I settled on the bottom and closed my eyes.
