I awoke with my head laying on something firm. As I began to come to,  I felt warm arms secured tightly around my waist, pinning me against a firm and warm object. Opening my eyes, I noticed that my head lay on Mikals firm, bare chest. Every fiber in my body burned with yearning to touch him, to get closer to him. But unfortunately for me, I was too shy to push our relationship any farther. I moved a hair closer to him, snuggling my head farther into his chest. I heard him murmur something, in fear that I had woken him, I began to wriggle out of his grasp, only to be pulled back tighter against him.

"Morning Sky." Mikal breathed huskily into the crook of my neck, his deep voice striking something deep within my core causing goosebumps to rise across my chest and arms

"Morning." I squeaked. He he replied in a deep, rough laugh, again warmin my entire core.

"How did you sleep, Princess." I was caught off guard by my new nickname, but quickly shook it off. Regaining my wits, I replied;

"Good. Really good, actually." I wasnt lying, I hadn't slept that well in what seemed like forever.

"Good. How do you feel now?" He stared at me intently, gaze piercing me.

"Fresh. I feel next to no pain.” I remarked, stretching my limbs out. I briefly wondered why I felt next to no pain, but my stiff body, and slightly achy bones told me I wasn't fully healed. “It seems all I needed to heal my body was a good night's sleep. I feel new and energized." He smiled down at me, pleased to hear that I was feeling better. I smiled back, feeling truly happy for once.

"How about some breakfast, sweetcheeks." He grinned down at me, gaze so soft. I smiled cheekily, wondering where these new names were coming from, and loving whatever had happened.

"I'm starving." I replied, sitting up and pretending to faint from hunger. He laughed throwing me over his shoulder, hoping off the bed and walking with a bounce in his step, all the while ignoring my insesent pleas to be let down.

After we were done eating, we decided to play gin, a card game in which I had the upperhand.

"Ha! I won, again." I drawled, playfully. Throwing my cards down in triumph.

"That's because you cheat." He pouted, looking incredibly adorable, with his pouty lips, and big puppy eyes, it was hard to resist him. I walked around, putting my hands on his shoulders and leaned down over his right shoulder, gently kissing his cheek.

"Aww, poor baby. Would you like mommy to give you a cookie." I teased, pinching the cheek that I had just kissed. Realising what I was doing, I quickly stepped back, heat flooding my face.

"Okay, now that was kinda creepy, but yes, I do indeed want a cookie." “He turned towards me, pouting again, yet his eyes told a different story. He looked like a preditor, ready to pounce on it’s prey

"Well that's just too bad for you." I mocked, bouncing away from him. He caught me by surprise, and I yelped in shock as I felt his hot breath down my back, and his warm strong arms wrapped around my waist. His hands slowly moved towards my hips, fingers gently splayed out across my hips. This time I couldn’t repress the shiver that overtook my body as his heat seeped in, leaving a fiery trail in its wake.

"Tsk, tsk, tsk. Now, don't offer what you can't give missy.” He whispered huskily. I giggled, trying to fight the blush that was spreading across my cheeks. Before I knew what was happening, he spun me around and smiled down at me, eyes brightly glowing.

"Someone's in a good mood today." I mused, smiling back just as brightly. I had never seen him this happy, not for this long.

"I have every reason to be happy." He murmered, taking a step closer, without thinking, I stepped back. He only followed
