The monters striked again

A week later, during the night, everyone was asleep and Rusty was on stand by, he could hear and see while charging to protect to people during the night.
Suddently, Rusty smelled smoke and saw flames come out of the windows. Recognizing danger, he rapidly woke up Willow. She opened her eyes and immediately smelled the smoke and panicked. She pushed Rusty out of the way and ran to her parent's room. They were not there. She looked down and saw big machines cutting the woods and shooting flames everywhere. She then heard her father shout to other people to quickly put out the fire and her mother shouting to the kids and women to run out and save themselves.
Willow almost ran to the ladder but Rusty was in the way, to big for the small entrance. After a couple seconds she finally passed him and got on the ground. She looked around trying to find her father, then she saw him. On the ground, in a puddle of blood. Devastated, she collapsed on her knees and screamed and cried. Rusty still in the trees got down quickly and helped Willow to get up. Then they saw what monster did this. A big Owlbear. Then they realized there wasn't just one but 10 to 20 creatures growling at them. Frozen in fear and shock, Willow couldn't move as one came running towards her. In the last second Rusty striked the monster out of the way and started fighting the Owlbears.
Willow heard a voice in her head, her mother telepathically saying to run. Run like hell to survive. So she screamed at Rusty "WE NEED TO GET OUT NOW!". He said "OK" and knocked out two owlbears.
And so they did, they ran and ran until they were so far they couldn't smell the burning forest.

Willow being exhausted and Rusty needing to recharge, they decided to camp out.
"Rusty, Tomorrow we need to go back. I need to see if they're still alive."
"No Miss, they have won. They is no chance others survived this. We need to move."
"Maybe your right. But I will have revenge. I will find who did this to my my family and I will destroy them. I don't care what it will cost.
