Howl's POV

"Let's go! NOW!" I instructed to my team as we hurriedly ran away from the supply room closet.

Zombies were everywhere so we has to protect ourselves, currently we have limited weapons.

Mika will run out of fire Crackers soon surely, Luna has a thick book which is barely helpful, and I have a Slighshot which also needs something to aim with.

Luckily we have Elijah, who has a range weapon, a trident, but he's usually hesitant to kill, so overall..

..We're doomed.

"Aa..h! Howl, Help!" Luna's voice called me, I turned around and saw a zombie pulling out Luna's eye, oh for god sakes, we're screwed.

Quickly though, Elijah stabbed the zombies back and pushed it aside, helping Luna to stand up.

"Quick, we're almost there!" I told them as I opened the grocery store doors and waited until all of them are out.

Once everyone was out, I shut the door open and we ran as far as we can then stopping to catch a break.

"A-ah..ouch..it hurts..am I gonna die..?" Luna cried out as she touched the hole in her eye, bleeding out.

"N-no..your gonna be alright.." Elijah hugged the fellow teammate as Luna began sobbing silently.

I ripped a huge part of my jacket and handed it to Luna, "Here, you can have it"

"T-thanks..but I'm not really cold" She replied, as she looked at me with a confused look, oh boy it's for your eye dummy!

"Umm, it's not for that, it's for your eye, Sugar" I smiled, as I helped her out, tying the cloth around her missing eye.

Eventually, Luna regained herself and she finally stood up, now we can continue going back to the base.

"Finally! It's been like I dunno a thousand years! C'mon, I'm hungry!" Mika groaned, yawning right after as they continued on their way without waiting for the rest of us.

After a few walking later, we finally arrived back at the base, it's a garage, may be small but it's sturdy.

"Oh finally you guys are back, so what do you have for us this time?" Aiden asked, while polishing his Shotgun.

"Not much..we have a Can of corn, some almost expired bread, a few Bandages, 2 energy drinks and some dog food" I said, almost gagging at the thought of Eating dog food.

"Well, Luna better think of a way to feed us all!" Laffy complained, "Hey! She almost died back there!" Elijah defended on her behalf.

"N-no..it's alright, I was the one who suggested I come along, don't worry, I can cook for us.." Luna replied softly as she walked to the fire place and putted on am apron.

Luna's POV

And now it's time for..Cooking with Luna on the Apocalypse!

Today we're going to make Easy Bread, Peas, and Corn Casserole!

Ingredients:

• 2 cups bread cubes (from a loaf of day-old bread, In which our case is almost expired)
• 1 1/4 cups peas
• 1 cup corn
• 1/2 cup onion, diced (The one we found on the cupboard!)
• 2 tablespoons butter, melted (we're lucky Laffy brought us this)
• 2 eggs, beaten (We have 2 chickens here)
• Salt and pepper to taste (Elijah Said it's for spirits but it's delicious for meals!

Directions:

1. Preheat our fireplace in any Fahrenheit. Lightly grease a 2-quart baking dish.
2. In a large bowl, toss the bread cubes with the peas, corn, onion, and melted butter. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
3. Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish.
4. Pour the beaten eggs over the mixture in the dish.
5. Bake for about 40 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the stuffing is cooked through.
6. Let the casserole rest for 5 minutes before serving.

This dish is easy to make, quick to prepare, and can serve as a delicious side dish or a satisfying main course. Enjoy!

Howl's POV
"Meal is served! Bon Appetit'!" Luna brought out the casserole, smells good for almost expired bread, she really is a great addition to our group.

"Thanks dear, now let's eat shall we?" I brought out a fork from my bag and took a sample from the dish and as always, it was good not great but good enough to be edible and satisfactory.

I took a smaller portion from the meal than the others, I have to prioritize them first, afterall I'm the one who brought them here so I must be responsible.

I watched the others eat happily in conversations, oh..Noel and I uses to be like this..

Speaking of, I have to write this on my journal, I took out my Fountain Pen and a diary out of my bag and began writing..

My Dearest, Noel

It has been 23 hours since this apocalypse has started, luckily I grabbed a few school mates with me: Elijah, our best range attacker, he usually hesitates but I know the kid has it in him.

Luna, she might look like a sweet, little bumblebee that got lost but that girl has skills, she has been a very great chef so far, she cooked us an amazing casserole today

Mika, the youngest on our bunch but the loudest, i gave them distraction duty afterall, that kid is intense on the battlefield.

Laffy, I have no idea how they got a Bazooka, is that legal?? Anyways, great entertainment! And can deal with alot of zombies at once

And finally, Aiden, our group's Sniper, he's quiet and can barely communicate but I know deep down that ice cold face is a warm firepl—

And before I knew it, someone snatched the diary out of my hands.

"Hey, I kinda need that" I said, asking for Laffy to return the diary from me but instead they just sighed.

"Howl..you've been writing on this diary for the whole day, take a break, you haven't even touched your food yet..and you do realize your gonna run out of ink soon right? We're lucky Aiden has extra ink"

..They are right though, I haven't been myself ever since this whole Apocalypse, all I can think of is..them.

This isn't normal, I wasn't like this when they first left me..why now, when everyone needed me the most.

"Hey..Howl, you okay..?" Laffy placed a hand on my shoulder, they sound..concern with a feeling of confusion.

"Yeah..I'm fine, just tired..I think I'm going to bed early, I'll see you" I walked away, smiling back before laying on the old mattress.

It was really tiring today..I wonder what the future will hold me next.
