Okay... For my first update, I want to talk about why I think Mad Eye is so protective and safe.
For crying out loud! Have you seen his face? Every inch is covered in injuries or scars! He's going to be very careful! I don't like it when people say, and I have heard people say this, that he is a overprotective, control freak and that his place in the novel wasn't important.
I'll start with the two flaws that people say he has. How about, CONTROL FREAK.
THIS MAN HAS GROWN UP IN KILLING AND DARKNESS AND HE HAS FACED IT FAR INTO HIS RETIREMENT! PLUS HIS ONE OF JOBS WAS FINDING PEOPLE THAT WENT MISSING! HE'S SEEN HIS FAIR SHARE OF BODIES, GRUESOME SCENES, AND BROKEN FAMILIES!
Second, OVER PROTECTIVE
HOW MANY TIMES DO YOU THINK HES SEEN HIS COLLEAGUES AND FRIENDS KILLED UNDER HIS NOSE???? TOO MANY! OF COURSE HES GOING TO FORCE 'CONSTANT VIGILANCE' ON THE PEOPLE HE FEELS STRONGLY FOR! THATS NOT BEING OVER PROTECTIVE OR CONTROLLING!
Now, people say that he wasn't a essential part of the novel. That when he died, he wasn't grieved for except for enough time for the people to drink a bottle of firewhisky and look for his body. You forget one thing. By dying, he saved six people... How? That Death Eater could have easily gone off and killed someone else, and survived. But Mad Eye took the Death Eater to town! He distracted him enough for everyone to get back to their Port Keys! And what's better? HE BROUGHT THE DEATH EATER DOWN WITH HIM!
I hope that I haven't offended anyone but that's my honest opinion... By the way, I don't own HP so, I'm not the goddess of writing, other wise known as JK Rowling.
