Chapter 4

This can't be. I can't believe it. He's... he's... he's... Uh!!!. No! No! No! No! Wait the minute! If he owns that voice then that meant he works for Gramps. Holy macaroni! Meaning his gonna be taking the weekends performances. Well things just got better and better. I just promise Gramps I would lend a hand every weekends. Should I just go back on my words? No that's not an option.

Hmm! I guess a few hours of annoyance during weekends won't kill me. He might not even be there during my shift. Right performances are held during the afternoon so that means he's not there in the morning. Well morning will be my shift then... I just have to learn to be a morning person.

My sulking was shattered when Leugee shouts. “Watch out!” Shocked I hit the breaks with so much force if we're not wearing our seat-belts we would be shooting a few meters away from my car now.

“What? What?” I asked in panic.

“Nothing. I was just trying to get your attention.” Leugee answered.

“Well! What the hell? I almost got us killed for nothing?”

“Don't worry your car is safe. And damn girl I've been talking for hours but your not even listening. I was hollering at you but you still seem to be deep in thoughts. I was even taping and risk poking your ribs to your ticklish spot but you didn't even flinch. What is the reason for this major space out?” She asked.

“N-nothing! It's nothing.” I answered. 'Was I really way out of space that I didn't even felt it when she tickled me?' I think.

“Nothing? Really? Well I say it's something because your clearly not coherent enough to get us to your own house.” she stated.

“Who would forget the way to their house that they have lived in for half their life? Tss! That's absurd. It's really nothing.” I answered back.

“Tss! Absurd? Okay if your really in the right mind, care to explain why are we going because as far as I know this isn't the way to your house.” She looks at me questioningly. Through her eyes she's taunting me to answer.

I look around on the neighborhood we're in now. I mentally slap myself when I confirmed that we are indeed way out of my neighborhood. Where are we and how did we get here? 'Really? Am I really asking my self that? I am the driver for Pete's sake! I must really be out of it. Darn that jerk.'

“See? Nothing huh? Well FYI we were suppose to turn right four turns ago. Now Ciara will be having all the fun if were not gonna move yet so put your pedal to the metal and let's zoom away space out princess.” She teased but I was not on the mood for teasing.

They all ready bombarded me with it in school. Playing on the defensive end of the fight is really tiring and the more I did it the more they attack so now I will just let them tire and let the news get old. I make a U-turn back to where we were suppose to turn and make our way to my house quietly. Well not really because she's still talking.

We were almost at the house when I spotted Ciara's hot pink Cooper parked in front of it. Well they really do love my moms cooking. I remember the first time I invite them to my house mom cooked lemon chicken for dinner after that they ate dinner with us for the whole week.

The good thing about it though is that my friends became super close with mom that they even call her Mom Ci. Mom didn't mind though, she loves seeing people feast on her dish and said it's good that she gained two daughters. She's a really really really great cook; another thing that I wasn't so much lucky to get from her.

I park my car in our garage beside moms car then Luegee and I hop out. The moment I open the door the delicious scent of the food hit me. Gosh it so mouth watering.
