Soonyoung enters a bar and tries to search for someone. Minghao had given him a vague description but apparently could easily stand out from the crowd.

Short, sharp eyes, smells like caramel and looks grumpy.

Bingo, he spots who he presumes Jihoon is, the latter sitting in a corner away from the dancing bodies. He approaches the table and greets himself. "Lee Jihoon?" He places his left fist over the right of his chest, lightly hitting it twice. Jihoon stands up and does the same. "It's a grimly night to meet you, Kwon Soonyoung."

"A pleasure to you too. My, I can tell you don't like parties like these." Soonyoung settles down while he takes off his jacket. Jihoon analyzes every detail of the taller man. He's seen him in photos and digitally, but never in person. And to his impression, the new leader's well-built form is a little distracting for him. The scent of cardamom too.

"Yes," The other answers. "Humans are annoying. Too loud, emotional, stupid, greedy, and immature. There is nothing perfect about life- so painstakingly torturous and yet beautiful when you find the right people."

"And your people are just like you?"

"Not exactly. One is absurd, one is protective, one was friendly, another is sarcastic, and the last one is a little egotistic. But we grew up together suffering. Each of us has a trait to assist each other in survival. Without one, we would bring us to our own downfall- which has already happened twice." Jihoon stares deep into the other's eyes. "But we'll recover at least one now." Confidence displays in his voice.

Soonyoung is intrigued by Jihoon's way of reasoning. He finds the latter to be cute, his face looks soft, and his lips when forming a frown make him want to smile. He's surprised that the leader is an omega and not a beta. No offense to stereotyping, but it doesn't fit his personality. But the smell of caramel isn't dizzying, almost perfect.

"Ow!!!" The taller shrieks when Jihoon stabs a fork into his hand. "What was that for?!"

Jihoon is leaning across the table with a content smile. That look makes Soonyoung intrigued, almost wanting to annoy the other. Jihoon is the fire Soonyoung likes the play with. "A simple warning for you and your team if we fail this." Soonyoung thought it was the colorful disco lights changing the irises of Jihoon's. But that's not the case, because his eyes glow green. The atmosphere feels slightly thicker, a threat coming from Jihoon.

This is their strength...

To Jihoon's surprise, the older isn't scared told by a eat shitting grin from the alpha. "I can hardly guarantee that we'll fail." Soonyoung leans over the table so quickly yet swiftly, towering over the other; Jihoon doesn't make a sound or scream. Soonyoung lightly drives a steak knife along Jihoon's knuckles. Ruby-red blood slowly spurs and Soonyoung takes Jihoon's hand and kisses it. "A fair exchange for the sake of my friend." He smirks, blood stained on his lips.

The action nearly takes Jihoon aback, hand frozen as he stares at the ruby lips on the taller. Soonyoung chuckles and goes back to his seat. He pulls out the menu and starts reading it. The omega rolls his eyes and crosses his arms.

"What's so funny?" He grumbles.

Soonyoung has the menu in front of his face, but the younger can tell he's smirking by the way the latter's eyes squint, eyebrow peeking up. "Nothing. I just find it endearing that you'd be so awed by my promising gesture."

"That's because I've never met anyone bold to do that." The taller snorts.

"That's because you have other people besides you and your team to go meet other gangs. All of you are hidden like treasures. Waiting to be discovered."
