Dust

Hansol is the first to turn up at where his base would be. He looks around, not knowing how to feel. He wouldn't say he's happy and he's definitely not sad. He kicks the rubbles and strolls around the nonexistent place.

"Your boss is efficient," He praises. Seungkwan looks around, impressed and shocked.

"I wasn't expecting him that type of visit... but I suppose he was eager and furious." The omega responds, humming.

"Visit?" Minghao approaches the two with Junhui.

"Yeah," The maknae responds. "He found out about your boss sending Junhui away... I assume he truly saw us as his children. 'No one dares to harm my loyal children.' And with that, he goes and blows up everything." Chan kicks down a large piece of rubble.

"Well, he certainly left nothing but dust," Mingyu fans the dust away while he kicks up the dirt.

"Well if it isn't the one who states the obvious," Seungkwan rolls his eyes.

"Hey!" The omega sticks his tongue out at the tall alpha.

"The question is," Joshua arrives at the scene. "What will you do now?" The Ascenders turn their gaze away, thinking. After a moment, Wonwoo straightens his posture, clearing his throat.

"Well, I have a proposition that I discussed with the team. Soonyoung is meeting up with Jihoon to talk about it." Junhui and Minghao give each other a knowing look, soft giggles spilling out of the couple. Chan rolls his eyes and the other Ataraxia members cough, looking away.

"Wow, the dust is getting into my lungs." Seungkwan comments. Hansol takes the sign and laughs.

"What's the proposition?" Joshua asks, captivated.

"I-I beg your pardon?" Jihoon wants to slap the older for laughing at his reaction.

"You heard me right, and I'll repeat it." The alpha grins, his lips hovering above the cold glass of cocktail. "We could form a new group. Our bosses are dead so where is the power going to go now? To the strongest link of the branches of gangs. My team has lost our base—a second home. A benefit from our bosses was protection and money. Money can't possibly buy everything, but you know..." Soonyoung places the glass down, keeping eye contact with the lead omega. "We're all trying to survive. So the best option is to be strong and support each other."

Jihoon takes consideration into mind. He's sure that the Ataraxias, even the Ascenders, are capable on their own. Taking that into consideration, there's competition for power and territories. They always run into enemies who dare to challenge the two gangs. The Ataraxias can't always rely on their unordinary powers. Plus, the Ascenders do have the guts to rationalize all of them, telling by their behavior, the Ataraxias have the worst anger issues. Consider it as a result of being traumatized and having such horrible pasts. It's only natural that they have the instincts to protect each other no matter what.

"Don't overthink it." Soonyoung interrupts his thinking. "I think it'd be nice and would stop the tension between our gangs. Look what got us here!" He genuinely smiles. "We won't have to kill, hate each other, or live in fear of who's next." He watches Jihoon return a small smile.

"Well, I suppose," He responds. "It's pretty much about two gangs forming into one because of outside 'marriage', AKA Junhui and Minghao." The younger laughs bitterly. Soonyoung picks up the sour tone of the younger.

"Why so somber? Jealous?" Jihoon glares at the other. Seems that if he agrees to the proposition, then he's definitely going to have a daily dose of shooting glares at the alpha.
