The next day at lunchtime, I was in the school hallways with Mei and it was now time to start my investigation.

Mei then said to me, "Ok, I think the best people to start questioning first, would be the Otaku Students. They're the ones that started the rumor about Vice Principal Himaki's 'Mystery Husband'."

I then asked, "Where do they hang out and who's their leader?" Mei answered, "They usually hang out in the library's old manga section and their leader is a guy named Chris Matsura."

I was confused and asked, "Wait, they have manga in this school?" and Mei answered, "Well...they used to..."

She then told me, "Ok so, many years ago, the school was partnered with a 'Reading is Fun' type Organization from Japan. The school wanted students to have more fun books to read and make it easy for them to write up reports on, so this Organization supplied books that were donated to school by other people in Japan; the majority of which was Mangas, and the school gladly took them. But then, one day in early Two Thousand Nine, a single male student reached into the manga section to pull out what seemed like a regular manga; but to his surprise, it was no normal manga at all... It was actually an Adult Manga, a 'Doujin' it's called. No one truly knows what the Doujin was or who put it there, but many believe the Doujin was about a Student and a Teacher who had sex and became boyfriend and girlfriend, and after that Doujin was found, the parents were outraged and the school was forced to pull all of the manga off from the shelves and close off the manga section, but those Otaku kids came and set up shop there and started putting their own collections of manga into the shelves."

I was slightly disappointed and said, "Ugh! I can't believe the school doesn't even realize what those students have been doing."

Mei then said, "But many rumor that the male student who was victimized in the scandal, was the same student who found that Doujin in the library, but there were people in this school and some parents that argued about whether or not the boy was the victim or the true perpetrator."

My eyes widened in surprise, and I said, "Wait, so you're telling me that the scandal might be a lie and a potentially innocent teacher was framed?" Mei replied, "That's why I'm worried about your mission. You're basically gonna be going down a rabbit hole once you question those Otakus."

Just then, a peculiar question appeared in my head, and I asked, "Hey, now that I think about it, what happened to that student after the scandal? Does he still go to this school?"

Mei answered, "Unfortunately, he was pulled out of this school the day the scandal happened and Him and His Parents never returned."

I then started getting unnerved by all this info and said, "Geez, so I really am about to dive into a rabbit hole. There's definitely something wrong with this school, and I'm gonna find out, starting with Mr. Matsuda."

Mei then said, "Be careful Kohane, those Otakus are known for being notoriously pervy, so watch yourself and maybe button your shirt and jacket all the way."

I then went to the library and looked around the shelves until I saw a creepy dark section and realized I was now in the legendary abandoned manga shelves.

I then fully buttoned up my shirt and jacket and made my way down the aisle and saw that there were mangas strewn on a couple parts of the supposedly empty shelves, and the deeper I went, the more mangas I saw on the shelves until I was stopped by a nerdy looking boy who said, "Halt."

I froze up and the boy asked, "State your name, your year, your clique, a-and your bra size."

When I heard that last question, I was impressed that Mei wasn't kidding about these Otakus being pervy, so I answered, "My name is Kohane Ito, I'm a Fourth Year, I'm part of the Honor Students, and no, I'm not telling you my bra size; I'm just here to speak with Chris Matsuda."
