Jacks Adventures #1

Chapter 3

Jack woke up in the middle of the night, he checked his clock on his nightstand. "4:39 AM"
It was a little ways away until it was morning, but he decided that he wanted to read for a little bit before he went to bed.
Jack turned on his lamp and walked to his desk, grabbed the book from his desk and sat on his bed, staring at the book. He flipped through the pages to get an idea on what it was about.
There were some interesting things from the book that Jack could tell. Most of it was about the law of magic and the different types of magic that was used in the wars. Jack sighed.
"Some of it I already know, but still pretty interesting." Jack thought in his head.
Finally, he closed the book and walked back to his desk and put it on his shelf. Jack was getting a little tired, so he went back to his bed and laid on his back.
Jack couldn't wait to go out on his own, learning new things on the way, but he thought about something.
"What if I get hurt on the way though?"
Jack asked that question to himself every time since he got out of school yesterday. Sure he was prepared and new how to deal with magic, but there maybe be other people out there that are stronger then him and could hurt him badly.
"I shouldn't think about that, I just got to believe in myself!" Jack told himself.
Before he could think any longer, his eyes felt heavy and slowly closed his eyes, falling asleep.
