Jacks Adventures #1

Chapter 4

Jack woke up from deep sleep, he looked at his clock. "8:30 AM"
He got out of bed and got dressed for the day. He did his normal routine like every morning and went to the kitchen. His mom sat at the table drinking her coffee.
"Good morning honey, are you glad that your out of school?" She asked.
"Yes mom, I'm ready to go on my adventure!" He smiled.
"I'm so proud of you honey, I can't believe your all grown up!" She replied.
"I know mom, I'll go get my things!"
Jack walked out of the kitchen and grabbed his things for the big adventure. When he was done, he said goodbye to his mom and promised that he will be back soon.
When he walked out of the house, he noticed that Katie was standing near his mailbox.
"Hey Jack, are you ready to be out on your own?" She asked.
"Yes I am, I got my map that dad gave me when I was little, he said that I might need it when I'm out on my own."
"Oh cool, what's on it?" She asked with excitement.
Jack took out his map from his backpack and looked at it. The map showed different towns around their island, like Groom City and many others. Jack noticed a town that his dad had told him about before he died. It was a little town up north from them called "Flameville".
Jack remembered that his dad told him that there was a cave near the town that had a secret flame stone and was gifted to Jacks family.
"Maybe dad died while trying to get that stone, but how did he die?" He wondered.
No one knew how Jacks dad died, all they knew was that they found him near the river up north where Jack and his mom lived.
"The map was given to me by my dad, he wanted me to find the stone for my family's honor, but I need to find it, and I may need your help!" Jack said.
Katie thought for a minute and nodded.
"Alright then, let's go get that stone!"
They walked out of their neighborhood and headed up north.
