Felicity lets out a breath to calm her nerves, patting down her LAPD uniform.
Here she was in the locker room of LAPD. Getting ready to start her first day of being under the great Athena Grant Nash. She's heard of how amazing that lady is. Nervousness and excitement taking over.
"Officer Felicity Valentino?, ready to get on the road?" Says Capt. Maynard.
"Yes, mam," she replied.
Walking out of the locker room to meet Capt. Maynard. They make their way through the office of the LAPD.
"So today you will be shadowing Sargent Athena Grant Nash. You just watch and learn. There's not many women in the LAPD. We stick together. "
" I'm looking forward to learn from the best," Felicity replied.
Capt. Maynard stops at a desk where the one and only Athena Grant Nash sits.
"Sargent Grant Nash, here is your partner for the next few months."
Athena gets up to shake hands with Felic
"Hello, good to finally meet you, I've heard great things. it's the only reason I agreed to have a partner," Athena is whispering to her. "I usually like to work alone."
Felicity chuckles
"It's good to meet you, and I hope I live up to your expectations."

"911, what's your emergency?."
"Help!. This guy thinks he's lucifer or something. "..
"Can you explain what's happening?" 911 dispatcher Maddie Buckley questions.
"He's ...oh my god!..he's going crazy."
"LAPD required assistance for a possibility substance use."
"This is 727L30 on route," Athena says through her radio
"Ready for crazy?". Turning on the sirenes.
"Oh yeah," smiles Felicity

Entering the police car again after defusing the incident before it got anymore out of hand.
"So I heard you were a medical resident? Why the change?. Going through medical school and getting into the hospital as a resident just to drop out, " Athena asks Felicity..
"Too much death for me, i want to see if I can do something before and just help keep people safe." Felicity said, memories of the past came back. "Yeah, my parents weren't too happy but understood with.. everything"
Athena noticed there was definitely more to the story. "I see, you do what's best for you..that's good. Not many do. Too scared to disappoint family or friends. "
"Thank you, I appreciate that." Felicity smiles.
A FEW MONTHS PASS. ATHENA LOVES FELICITY, AND THEY CONTINUE A GREAT PARTNERSHIP.

ATHENAS HOUSE:
"And why are we having this special dinner?" May asked her mom while she placed down the cutlery on the dining table.
"Because she's great. We're celebrating her successful trial period. "
"Should I be worried that you're replacing me?" Jokes May.
Athena lightly slaps her daughters arm "oh stop it. Of course not. " They laugh.
The front door opens, and Bobby Nash walks in
"Oh. What's this?". He asks, walking towards them.
"Mom's celebrating her new daughter," May says to Bobby.
"Hush. No. My new partner passed her trial period at LAPD. I invited her over for a celebratory dinner. Plus, I would love you both to meet my new partner in crime... or justice in our case. "
Bobby and May share a look.
"I better get dressed then, look the part," says Bobby before disappearing to get dressed.
A few moments later, there's a knock at the door.
"Oh, that must be her." Athena gets the door. "Hello, come on in."
Felicity walks in and sees how much effort Athena and her family have put into the dinner.
"Oh my goodness, you really didn't need to do all this just for me."
"Nonsense. Come met my daughter May and my husband Bobby. " Bobby appeared just in time.
Hugging May and Bobby lightly "Hey it's good to finally meet you both." Felicity says. Sitting down for dinner. The conversation flows as they eat and drink.
Bobby asks, "You seem like you know what you want in life? Just an observation. "
"Yeah, well, I've unfortunately had to experience deverstaing moments to be who I am now and understand what i want my life to be." Felic replies.
"Yeah, life throws us some curve balls. People say that's what makes you stronger," Bobby tells her.
"Yeah, I have definitely heard that one." Felic laughs..
Conversation between them continues before they notice it's getting late, and Felicity leaves to get back to her apartment. May is staying with her mum and makes her way to her bedroom to relax before bed.
Bobby and Athena seat on the couch.
Placing their drinks on the coffee table.
"Huh, I see what you mean," Bobby tells Athena..
"I told you!. She's great."
"Hmm."
"What are you thinking?".
"Well, she knows what she wants, probably great a giving life advice."
"And your point?." Athena wonders where Bobby is going with it.
"I just think Buck could use someone like that in his life especially since his accident with the lightning, Although he has the 118 and Maddie, I think she could be a good influence in his life."
"Okay i can see that...so what else are you thinking? You can't force them to be friends, " Athena tells Bobby.
"Maybe we don't have to," Bobby smiles.
"But that doesn't mean we can't be the masterminds behind them meeting 'accidently.'"
"Bobby Nash, I like the way you think," They grab their drinks off the coffee table, clacking their glasses together. Smiling.
