"Don't go anywhere outside when I'm away, alright?", Yibo asks for the nth time, holding Xiao Zhan by his cheeks. 

And Xiao Zhan sighs for the nth time as well, sitting on the bed, "Okay, okay, I won't."

Yibo pecks a sweet kiss on his forehead before going over to put on his socks. He has a place to go with Ann Ni. They have agreed to do what they could not yesterday and it's almost time. 

"Okay, Gege. I'll be back before the sun sets, alright?"

Yibo watches as his beloved's adorable face suddenly loses all its brightness and how he covers it up in a second, "Yeah, alright, come quick.. and be safe."

That is exactly when Yibo stops whatever he is doing and walks over to kneel down next to his Gege, and takes his hand within his, "Zhan Ge, I won't tell you to not get worried because I know it's impossible for you. But.. but, trust me a little more that I'll come back and will never ever leave you. Only your love and trust will keep me breathing, hm?"

He is not lying or being dramatic. But Xiao Zhan's eyes tear up even as he fake-hit Yibo on his arms, "Please don't speak like that, nothing will happen to you."

Yibo smoothly grabs those little little hands that are hitting him and pulls Xiao Zhan into his arms. His Gege comes to him as if he has been waiting for this, for his whole life. 

"Nothing will happen to me as long as I have you!", he says and tightens his hold, then feels his shirt get wet. 

Ten minutes later, Yibo is ready with his backpack, filled with all the necessities. He is climbing down the stairs with Xiao Zhan following him in tow. 

"Zhan ge, Ziyi and Bin Bin will be here around 11. Don't tell them anything about the kidnapping, they will get worried."

"Alright, I'll just tell them what we've told our family-"

"That Haoxuan and Jiyang had a fight which caused Jiyang to take excess sleeping pills, yes?"

"Absolutely! That way they'll just give an earful to Haoxuan and leave us out of this."

"That's good. You should only make sure that everybody stays inside the home and not go anywhere, alright?"

"Alright, Mr. Lawyer", Xiao Zhan says and salutes at him dramatically, "This doctor is at your service."

Yibo chuckles at his antics and pats his head, "Be safe and be good."

Xiao Zhan nods his head and opens the main door for him. Ann Ni is already waiting there with a jeep and three other police officers, for safeguarding the house. This time, Yibo haven't asked her but she has brought them by herself.  

Xiao Zhan goes before Yibo and greets them, "Good Morning, Officers."

Ann Ni smiles, "Good Morning, Ge. I've brought these men to protect your house, you know, in case. They'll be here until the case is closed."

"Okay, okay, it's just three more people in our home. As long as you guys drag out the investigation, our home will be full and fun. I guess there is a good in every bad!", Xiao Zhan tells excitedly and looks at the wide-eyed male officers, "Come on, officers, let's go inside, I'll make you guys coffee."

Xiao Zhan turns around and walks towards the home, patting Yibo's shoulder on the way, "Be safe and also keep her safe."

And when the policemen silently follows Xiao Zhan with new-found eagerness, Ann Ni shouts from behind, "But, Ge, they're supposed to be outside the house."
