What is the difference between catastrophe and crisis?
I'm going to assume that a crisis is something that can be averted, and that a catastrophe is something that has to be cleaned up, the damage is done.

Ah, a catastrophe is an 'event'
Whereas a crisis is a 'time'
This morning I was thinking of the climate and in my mind it was referred to as a catastrophe unlike the norm of calling it a crisis.

You don't have to read that in a religious sense or a spiritual sense, though to me it makes no difference if you do. An atheistic/ scientific approach to the idea does not make it any less impact full. I feel an emotional connection to the idea either way.
