I dragged my fist into the dummy, switching my positions as I kicked it toppling it over. "Oops," I muttered and my phone rang, turning my head to my phone I picked it up and heard Azriel. "Thorn! Your alive!" He yelled as I laughed, "You little shit, of course, I am." I grabbed my towel, throwing it over my shoulder. "I'm taller than you. Treat your elder brother with respect." I rolled my eyes, "Fuck off." We laughed and Raiden chimed in; "Let me in! You assholes!" Azriel wheezed, "Nah, anyways how's school been? Ya make any friends?" I heard a grunt and a slam, guess Raiden slammed the door in his face. "Hey short stack ya got into any fights?" Raiden asked as I laughed at the two, Azriel's yell could be heard then Dad's voice could be heard saying to stop fighting over the phone. I rolled my eyes, pulling the dummy up and slipping into the living room. "I made some friends, we got Nanami, Kurama and I guess Tomoe. He's beginning to tolerate me?" I questioned remembering how I helped him in study hall with English. After that, he would give an occasional nod to my existence. "And I did argue with some guy picking on my friend." I heard an awe from Raiden, "Damn, I waiting for you to kick someone's ass so I can get fifty bucks." My brow twitched, of course, the little shit placed a bet. "With who?" He snickered, "That bully, the one that you beat up." I sighed as Azriel spoke, "I swear you two need to stop being put in the same room." He grumbled as Raiden laughed and Azriel spoke; "Glad ya made friends Thorn! ah, hey dad-oh sure here." I smiled hearing dads voice, "Hello sweetheart, I'm glad to hear you are doing all right. I'm sorry for how short this is gonna be but I gotta leave for work here soon. If anything happens in Japan let me know and I'll come down there, be safe and know that I love you and I'm proud of you." My gaze softened, "Thank you, papa, I love you too now don't be late for work." I grumbled making him chuckle and I heard Azriel, "Bye Dad! Okay, tell us everything!"

I finally got my new uniform, a sigh left my lips as I entered the class, and raised a brow. Uh, what the fuck? Confusion swept my face as I stared at my friend. There's no way that's Nanami, tits don't grow that fast. I approached her and my suspicion was confirmed, bright blue eyes hazed over by violet stared at me. Who the fuck is this? "So mind telling me who you are," I glared leaning down, my tone barely audible. They were taken aback, so I was right. Yokai are here, but why would one pose as Nanami? "What are you talking about Thorn?" My gaze narrowed, the voice is off too. I hummed then the screams came in, grabbing their arm I dragged them out. While the class was distracted. "What are you doing?" They hissed and I pulled them around a corner and shoved their back against the wall. Slamming my hand beside their face as my tone darkened; "I know your not Nanami, so who the fuck are you?" I seethed, their eyes widened, and sighed; "She's going to kill me," a male voice entered my ears as I cocked my head to the side, "I'll deal with Nanami, now who the hell are you? Judging by your reaction she asked ya to do this which means I don't need to worry about her safety." He slightly pushed my arm and I backed off, "It's me Tomoe, Nanami is sick but due to her absences in the past she couldn't stay home so I went in her stead." Ah. I hummed, honestly, that explains a lot. "You're not scared?" He questioned as I shrugged, "My best friend in America is a yokai, why would I be scared?" His orbs widened and I rubbed my temples, "That explains a lot though, I kinda pegged ya as a fox yokai due to yer eyes and attitude." He smirked, so I was right. "Seems you are more intelligent than you let on." I crossed my arms leaning against the wall. "Why would I bring up the supernatural in a state I know nothing about?" He hummed, nodding softly in agreement and I motioned him to follow, "Come on, I'll act normal which means we're eating lunch together. Also, Nanami's boobs aren't that big." I stated making him roll his eyes. I guess he doesn't agree with that statement. Heh, blackmail.

"Thorn," I turned my head to Tomoe, he showed me her schedule and set a finger to the paper motioning to gym. "Where is this?" He folded his brows, pursing his lips as I smiled; "Keep going down the hall then to the left." He nodded watching my movements then he tilted his head, "I'm curious, why don't you have gym?" I chuckled at his raised brow, "I do, but it's more around boxing and martial arts." He hummed, setting a random fan to his face "I didn't take you to be someone who fought." I shrugged as we began to walk to the gym, "My dad is an ex-military officer he made sure all his kids knew how to fight. I took to it more than my brothers so I'm pretty efficient in boxing along with non-machinery weapons." He stared at me, curiosity was evident but before he said anything a scream echoed in the girls' room. "Miasma," he spoke, glaring at the door. Quickening his pace he slammed it open as I peeked behind him. The girl with short peachy hair was screaming as a large yokai was licking her. I quickly ran in and grabbed the girl away from the yokai. "Come on sweetheart let's get ya out of here." I said to the shocked girl, she rubbed her teary eyes and I smiled; "Get out, I'll handle it." I nodded at Tomoe and pulled her out of the dressing room, "But there is a ghost in there!" I paled, "She'll be fine now go ahead and head to the gym." She protruded her bottom lip, folding her brows. "What's going on here?" I turned my head to Kurama and he paled as a loud crash was heard and the girl squeaked. "Don't worry bout it, you're going to be late if you stay here. I'll make sure Nanami is alright, okay?" She batted her lashes and nodded softly, she left as his orbs widened. "Nanami is in there, is she alright?" He questioned and I waved it off, "She's fine;" the room went silent and I knocked, then opened the door walking in to see Tomoe staring at a lollipop. "What the hell happened in here?" Kurama questioned and the fox cocked a brow at him, "Nothing." He said and pulled himself up as I glanced at the loli, ah. "You two should be more careful," Kurama said and he glanced at Nanami. "Especially you Nanami, I can't be around to protect you all the time like Tomoe. So be careful," My gaze softened as he stressed those words lightly, Tomoe smirked, ah the irony of this situation. The fox handed him the lollipop with a smirk; "Do you want this?" I gave him a glare as his smirk broadened. I swear.
