NEW ME;

3 months later

-Sixth Year-

They say that anguish changes you.

Well, I haven't just gone through an anguish.

All in a year, I broke up with my boyfriend with whom I had been withfor a year for a boy who didn't even love me and used me for a game, my father died, I was sexually manipulated by an idiot named Blaise, and my sister conspired against me, but guess what the; I was tired of crying.

During the course of the summer, I cried.

I cried in my bed, for Draco and for my father. I didn't send any letters to my friends and I didn't even open Draco's. I loved him, and I still love him, because love doesn't just fade. But I wasn't going to let him know, because the Amara I knew was gone.

And a new one was here, and this one was going to play Draco the way he played me.

I threw my hair over my shoulder as I entered Hogwarts, my style was completely different. Instead of using my normal bright colors, like a sky blue shirt with a white skirt, I decided to change my fashion to get to know my new inner personality. I was wearing black stockings with a black skirt, a black cropped shirt that accentuated the upper part of my body. I was wearing heavy eyeliner, highlighting the green of my eyes.

"Is that Amara?"

"She looks so different."

I felt a smile grow on my lips as I walked through the corridors, swinging my hips as I did it. I didn't look at anyone, I didn't even deserve to have my eyes on them, as I walked down the hallway.

"Hey," I heard a boy say, pausing me.

I hit him with the head, his friends looking at me with drooling looks. "You are Amara, aren't you? You look different."

I raised an eyebrow. "Did I say you could talk to me?"

His cheeks turned pale." Well, I'm the only one—"

"Know your place, Gryffindor." I spit before turning around, letting his friends laugh at him. He only noticed me because of my appearance, but oh, I couldn't wait to see Draco.

Nothing could hurt me anymore, and this time; He will be the one who cries.

----

After I finished unpacking my clothes, I decided to go down to the dining room. As I entered the room, I saw my friends talking to each other. When I was about to approach them, I heard a voice behind me. I turned around with a confused look, my jaw tightened when I saw Cedric. His mouth was open while his eyes looked at me from top to bottom.

"Cedric," I smiled. "How are you?"

He cleared his throat, arching his eyebrows. "I'm gr... Merlin, you look amazing, Amara."

He was interrupted, stunned by my appearance. I let out a giggle, shrugging my shoulders. "It's thanks to you, Ced."

He frowned. "H-how?"

I felt my smile grow as I walked towards him slowly, his cheeks turned red. Once I stopped in front of him, I raised his chin with my finger. I leaned very close, my breathing fanned his ear. "Because I realized that small children like you can't handle a real woman like me."

When I walked away, his eyes were as open as plates. I sent him a smile before turning around, making sure to move my hips more brazenly while I did it. I took one of the many boys looking at me at the tables and I sent him a wink. He blushed before turning around, increasing my confidence. This year was going to be a lot of fun.
