Chapter 13

You wake up with a gasp. You look around the familiar room. 'How did I get here? The last thing I remember is...' You look down at your hands. You hear quick footsteps coming down the hallway and stop at your door. The door swings open and you see Midoriya. "Y/n..." The hero walks to your bed and hugs you. You don't feel the urge to kill him anymore... Or any hero. "Midoryia..." You hug him back.

You didn't want to release, you felt safe in his arms but you let go anyway. You maneuver yourself so he can sit beside you. "How are you feeling? We brought you here so we can keep an eye on you" Midoriya informs. "I'm feeling okay, no pain or urge to kill heroes..." You tell him. "That's all thanks to Recovery Girl and Hitoshi Shinso," He grins. "Hitoshi Shinso..." You repeat his name trying to ring a bell. You shake your head. "His quirk is brainwashing. Of course, only used for the greater good" Midoriya explains. "Wait does that mean I woke up at some time?" You question. He nods.

Midoriya hears a sniffle causing him to look at you. "Y/n, a-are you okay??". "Do you know what I did when I was gone for four months?" You look at your hands. "No...".

"Well, the first month I was tortured and brainwashed. They took my quirk and gave me new ones. And brainwashed me to be a part of their group. But, that's not even the worst part..." Tears well up in your eyes. Midoryia puts a hand on your shoulder. "I... I killed people... I didn't even care..." Tears fall out of your eyes. Midoriya's eyes start to water. He stands in front of you and pulls you close to his body, running one hand through your hair and the other one resting on your back. He feels terrible. He wishes that he could've saved you sooner... Especially have him be the one to save you. Not Kacchan. Him. Your arms wrap around his waist as you cry.

You're relaxed by now. "I can tell Bakugo is feeling guilty about what happened four months ago" You slightly frown. "He's out there if you want to talk to him. Along with Ochaco. Shoto wanted to be here but he has to patrol along with the rest" He rubs his neck. You nod and head into your bathroom, fixing yourself up. You walk out and look at Midoriya who's already standing at the door. You both head out into the living room. The two other heroes stand up as you two walk out. Ochaco runs up to you and hugs you. "I'm sorry" You apologize to them. "Don't be. It was out of your control" Uraraka rubs your back. The two of you let go of each other. You teleport in front of Bakugo and hug him. "It's not your fault, Bakugo," You whisper in his ear. Bakugo hugs you back. His eyebrows furrowed. He needed to hear those words come out of your mouth so he can finally wash away the guilt thats been gnawing at him for four months. You release him and he does the same. "I apologize for the words I said to you during our fight". "Don't worry about it Tomato Face... You're a persistent bitch though" He grins. Ochaco and Izuku's jaw drops. "You're still a stubborn asshole" You grin back. Bakugo puts you in a playful headlock, "Glad you're back idiot". "Glad to be back... Now let me go jackass!" You struggle to get out. He pierces his lips, "No, just teleport yourself, dumbass". "Oh yeah". You teleport behind Izuku and stick your middle finger up at Katsuki. "You bitch!" He shouts. Izuku and Ochaco chuckle at your bickering. It reminds them of when they were in UA High. He would shout and get ticked off by the smallest things. He still does but not as much.

The doorbell rings and Ochaco goes to open it. "Y/n! It's for you!" She shouts. You walk over to the door seeing the Green family. Elliot and Violette are the first to hug you. You kneel to their height and hug them. They're safe. The last day you saw them was the day of your disappearance. They're crying. "Don't cry..." You dry their faces. "We missed you, Y/n," Elliot frowns. "We were so worried" Violette cries. "We all were" Mrs. Green speaks up. You can tell she's been crying due to her red eyes but yet she still smiles. Mr. Green carries a smile on his face as well. You hug Mr. Green first knowing that yours and Mrs. Green's hug will be long. You two let go and you face Mrs. Green. She crashes into you not being able to resist. She starts crying, causing you to cry. "You are my child even if we aren't blood... You are a part of this family" She squeezes tighter. "I'm happy to have you as a mother even if we're not blood... I'm glad to be a part of this wonderful family" You sniffle. Violette and Elliot join the hug. Eventually, Mr. Green did too. The three heroes stand their smiling. Ochaco and Midoriya are tearing up at the scene. "You two are big babies..." Bakugo mumbles.

The Green family left after a couple minutes followed by Ochaco, then Bakugo. Midoriya closes the door and sighs. He turns around to see you slightly smiling at him. "What is it?" He starts to get nervous. You walk up to him and hug him. This is your third hug with him today. "I hope you're not blaming yourself for what happened, right?". He stays silent. You sigh, "You totally are...". "I can't help it. If only I was stronger, faster... then I-". "You're the number one hero for a reason. Most importantly, my hero" You interrupt him. His heart warms at your words.
