SUNOO AND EUNBI took a quick walk to the dry cleaners to go wash their school uniforms.
they both received spare clothes from the owner of the store as they waited patiently.
"how long do you think it will take for our clothes to be dry, do you think we will get back to school in time?" she asked him.
"if i'm being honest, i don't believe we'll make it back in time." he replied, staring at the drying machine.
she chuckled, "i hope mrs. choi gives us a late pass at least."
he nodded lightly, still staring at the drying machine. and soon enough, the two were met with silence.
"are you two a couple?" the store owner suddenly asked.
the two snapped their neck to look at her, "no, we're classmates!"
she nodded, "i can tell, it's too quiet, i'll put on some music."
the duo nodded, waiting patiently for their clothes to dry up.
suddenly, a familiar beat played in their ears.
they both turned their neck to look at the store owner, "is this beabadoobee?" they asked.
she nodded, "of course! did you not see my poster?"
their mouths both slowly dropped as they felt their adrenaline boost up upon hearing a song they loved.
eunbi turned to sunoo, " this is my favorite beabadoobee song!" she smiled, trying to start up. conversation.
he instantly started listening, "i love apple cider, but i think my favorite is cologne!"
she nodded, "cologne is a very good song! what's your second favorite? mine is definitely the perfect pair."
"hmm, i'd say the glue song?" he returned her smile.
suddenly she remembered, the song she had played the day she was at the cafe. "you wanna know something!?" he hummed, "i remember, i was listening to the glue song the day i met you! you know, at the cafe?"
he nodded, feeling interested in the conversation, "and you know what? i was listening to apple cider!"
her eyes widened, "that's so cool!" he nodded as well, wrapping his arm around her shoulder.
they hadn't noticed the store owner who had been listening in on their conversation, who immediately switched the song to cologne.
eunbi smiled warmly, "look at that, cologne is playing now!"
he smiled back broadly, "yeah, that's so cool."
eunbi suddenly noticed something, "wait.. you don't smell like your usual cologne anymore." she giggled.
"you noticed my cologne?" he asked, feeling surprised.
"of course i did, that's the first thing i've ever noticed about you! i love the smell of your cologne!" she complimented.
he felt his cheeks slightly dust a light shade of pink at her compliment, feeling happy somebody noticed his cologne.
"you know, it's a cologne my great grandmother gave me. though i don't still have the exact bottle she gave me, i've always rebought the cologne to remind me of her. and i decided to make it my signature scent." he smiled softly, pulling eunbi a little bit closer to him.
"she has such good taste, i really do love your cologne. i've always been too shy to compliment it or i've forgotten but it's very good. it isn't too strong where i feel like i'm suffocating and it's like a sweet scent."
he felt himself getting flustered from all of her compliments, so he turned his head away.
"hey are you getting flustered!?" she asked with a smirk on her face.
"no, i'm looking at the wall!" he lied, she lightly grabbed his jaw and turned his head, seeing his red cheeks, "liarrr!"
he rolled his eyes, "okay you won!"
the two continued having conversations with eachother and hadn't even noticed the store owner grab their clothes out the dryer, she went into the back of the shop and ironed the clothes for the teens and brought it back to them.
"i hate to interrupt but your clothes are ready, here you go!" she handed the neatly folded clothes to the teens.
they stood up and bowed to her, "thank you so much!" the store owner gave them a warm smile, "it's my job!"

they changed into their uniforms and handed the store owner back the extra clothes, saying goodbye and walking out the store.
"wait.. what time is it!?" eunbi asked sunoo who looked down at his watch, seeing they were already 10 minutes late to their next class.
"OH NO! WE'RE LATE!" he screamed, causing eunbi to begin running which he did too.
they ran all the way back to the school and ran to go grab their bags from mrs. choi.
"you kids weren't supposed to take long!" she scolded, they put their heads down.
"sorry, we were waiting for our clothes to dry up." eunbi defended.
mrs. choi scoffed, "you two are lucky you are good kids, i'll give you a pass and you need to go!"
both sunoo and eunbi snuck little grins on their faces as they knew they wouldn't be marked as late to their next class, which would've landed them in detention.
